Effects of Social Networking Sites to the Academic
Performance of the DTTE students
Page 3
Social networking sites are websites that
allow people to share their various
activities to their love ones and friends,
as well as to communicate with them.
Page 4
Problem?
How students deal with their study habits and how they cope with or
accomplish different tasks given to them by their teachers specifically their
GPA.

Research Design
A descriptive research. This
research used interviews, unstructured

and questionnaires to describe the
study.
Page 7
Research Instrument

There is no significant relationship
between the length of time spent
on social networking sites and the
effect in their GPA
Page 19
The students must consider the capabilities of social
networking sites as an avenue to communicate and
enhance learning.
The Teachers/ Instructors must consider using the
capabilties of social networking sites (SNS) as an
online communication or classroom to their
students by motivating students to learn.
The parents should invest or subscribe to the internet
connection to support their children in using social
networking sites since it does not affect their
academic performance with proper supervision and
monitoring.
