I wanted the site to demonstrate my design skills which is why I decided to go with a Parallax site. Parallax uses multiple layers with diff ering scroll speeds which gives a sense of a optical illusion. This optical eff ect allowed me to exploit that within my design brief, by having each background fl owing into the next by the user scrolling down.

The website needed to be a true refl ection of me as a graphic and web designer which this elegant site acheives in spades.

The Eglo Web Solutions website is a one page parallax website created using jQuery, HTML5 & CSS3. The jQuery Parallax template used was created by Iann Lunn using a combination of javascript tools. This formed the basis for me to heavily customise into the site you see be-fore you today.

Media4musicCompany Website and Branding

I wanted the Media4Music web-site to not only look professional and modern but to also be fully responsive so it looks the same across all devices.. The concept was to provide music services for artists, record labels, nightclubs and promoters all online so a fully functioning e-commerce was essential to acheive this. Email marketing and SEO was also a big focus to keep customers up to date as well as driving traff ic to the website.

Eglo’s bigger brother Media4Music is a responsive, large scale business website with e-commerce, digital portfolio, contact forms and bespoke email marketing campaigns to reach potential & current customers, along with rich newsletters for subscribers.

The Earl of St.Vincent in Egloshayle Village, Wadebridge is a traditional vil-lage pub. They wanted a website which focused on their award winning an-nual fl oral display, wonderful collection of clocks and wanted it to be welcom-ing and informative.

The websites structure consists of 9 pages such as About, History, Egon Ronay Review, Opening Hours, Lo-cation, Pictures & Contact Us. This includes 3 picture galleries, google map, contact form as well as written content.

I handled all of the photography tak-ing over 300 photos in total for the website and internal records. I used some of the more creative pictures as a slideshow background on the homepage. This allowed me to really showcase the pub to great eff ect.

The website itself is very responsive; adapting accordingly to various tablet devices, smart phones as well as PC’s. The website is powered by Wordpress so updating the content is a breeze. With it being a Content Management System the clients can update the content themselves.

Steve at Celtic Connexions wanted a one page concise website which has a contact form, catagorized portfolio, contact information, About section, address and directions via Google Maps. He wanted it to illustrate his work as well look professional.

His main requirement was to have really solid Search Engine Optimiza-tion (SEO) to initially coinside with his PPC campaign with Yell.com. The old website I did for him had SEO in place which was giving him the top Google listing in 10 months so I needed to repeat this success with his new site.

The new SEO which I’ve integrated will elimate the need for him to pay for PPC with Yell.com once it’s up for renewal saving him over £600 a year. When it only cost him £300 for his new website it was a no-brainer to invest in.

This is a CMS website powered by Wordpress so he can easily keep his own portfolio updated as well as con-tent. There is also scope to expand the size of the website easily, integrating a blog section of projects for example. This will really help with SEO as regu-larly adding content and media to your website all helps with rankings.

Social Media Integration is also ready to be introduced if Steve chooses to improve SEO by utilizing Social Net-working.
