The Pietersheim Castle in Lanaken, Belgium was once again the host to the Egyptian Event Europe. An event for the best Straight Egyptian horses in the world. A nice group of horses were entered and being judged by Mrs. Ferraro-ni from Italy, Mrs. Stojanowska from Poland, Mr. Jadaan from Syria, Mr. Birch from Denmark and Mr. Bemong from Belgium.The show started on Saturday with the colt classes, star-ting with the three years old colts. Five gorgeous colts were shown, all scoring very high. The first two scoring the exact same total of 91.29 points. Winner by type was Al Pasha Oony, sired by the recently deceased Ezz Ezzain and out of Menat Allah Oony. Bred and owned by Oony Stud. Later in the championships he took the Silver medal. At the second place was Haizoom al Asil (Kamal ibn Al Adeed x Ansata Omniya) – bred by Anne Wright and owned by Al Qattan from Kuwait. Third with 90.86 points and later Bron-ze champion was Asayel Rashiq (Frasera Mashar x PSE Rasheekah) – bred and owned by Asayel Stud from Kuwait.

Four two years old colts were shown in the next class. Big winner with 90.21 points and later Gold medal with the junior stallions was the typy Fady al Baydaa (Jamil al Rayyan x Magda Saqr) – bred and owned by Al Baydaa Stud from Egypt. Second with 88.64 points was Al Hilal (Al Lahab x Gatsbys Tia Marie) – bred and owned by Jane Fraser Brown from Great Britain.A nice group of yearlingcolts was up next. The Al Danat Stud, Kuwait bred and owned Ezz al Danat (Shamekh al Danat x Shalwah) won his class with 91.36 points, lea-ving a second place for Naseem al Rashediah (Al Adeed al Shaqab x Nabeweyyah Ezzain) – bred and owned by Al Rashediah Stud from Bahrain. As there was only one class of yearling colts, these two colts took the Gold and Silver in the same order. Bronze was for the 3rd placed Hanaya La-bid (Laheeb al Nasser x ZT Assfashika) – bred and owned by Hanaya Arabians from Switzerland and scoring a total of 90.57 points.The show continued with the foal classes. Asalah (Amun Re x Imperial Beveerah) took the Gold me-dal with the filly foals. This typy filly is bred and owned by Prestige Arabians from Belgium. Gold Medal winner with the colts was Saoud al Hadban (Kais al Baydaa x LV Salysha) – bred and owned by Thomas Wolfgang from Ger-many. Silver medal was Hanaya Khalid (Kenz al Baydaa x Imhajaa) – bred and owned by Hanaya Arabians from Switzerlad – leaving the bronze to PSE Riyaaz (Royal Colours x PSE Kyarah) – bred and owned by Prestige Ara-bians from Belgium. In the overall foal championships it was Hanaya Khalid who took the Gold, leaving the silver for Saoud al Habdan and the bronze for PSE Riyaaz.The last class before the lunch break was the one of mares with foals at side. Two mares were shown in this category. Winner with 91.64 points was Imperial Beveerah (Impe-riaal Baarez x Azaamah) – bred and owned by Prestige Straight Egyptians from Belgium, who were also the bree-ders and owners of the second placed mare, scoring 89.36 points; PSE Kyarah (Imperial Kal-el x Imperial Baa-hiyah). After the break a largeclass of three years old fillies was next. Beautiful fillies, most scoring far over 90 points. Winner with 92.95 points was Salma al Bawady (Hilal al Nakeeb x Maha al Khaled) – bred and owned by Al Bawady Stud from Egypt. Later in the junior mare championships she took the Gold! Second with 92.68 points was KZ Hodaya BT Hadiyah (Al Hadiyah AA x KZ Ranyah) – bred by Y. Zirinski and owned by Ambra Borgognoni from Italy.Another very large class two years old fillies followed. All fantastic quality but one filly stole the show. D Omnia (Fra-sera Mashar x Royal Emira) – bred and owned by Dubai Arabian Horse Stud from the UAE – wowed the crowd and the judges by her fairytale looks and unbelievable move-ment, scoring almost full 20’s for type, head and movement, claiming a total of 94.36 points. Later in the championships she lost the Gold by one point and took the Silver. Runner up with 92.79 points and later Bronze champion was ano-ther Dubai Arabian Horse stud bred and owned filly named D Feryal (Frasera Mashar x DF Faaiqs Farida). What a fantastic achievement to have bred and owned both of these amazing two fillies!Next to go were the yearling classes. Many entrees which divided the class in section A and B. The first group of fillies

was led with 91.36 points by Raya al Rayyan (Ansata So-kar x Nadrah al Rayyan) – bred and owned by Al Rayyan farm from Qatar. Later in the yearling filly championships, she took the bronze medal. Second in this class with 91.21 points was Hanaya Jazeebah (Kenz al Baydaa x Imhajaa) – bred and owned by Hanaya Stud from Switzerland.Section B of the yearlingfillies was won by the very beau-tiful Shaikha al Danat (Shamekh al Danat x Badrah al Danat) – bred and owned by Al Danat Stud from Kuwait, scoring at total 92.21 points. In the final yearling cham-pionships she took the gold medal. Second with 91.71 points and later Silver medal champion was Hanaya Farfoura (Kenz al Baydaa x Bint Fariha Magidaa) – bred and ow-ned by Hanaya Stud from Switzerland.The Best Head class was up next. Winner of the Best head class female was Wanaba (OR Walkir x DC Manaba Mo-niet) – bred by Martini Brizo and owned by Luciano Zenti fom Italy. A large group of mares aged 4-6 years old was next and divided in two groups. Winner of the first group scoring a massive 94.57 points was the incredible Wadad Zama-ni (Laheeb x Zena al Buraq) – bred by Osman al Kasisi and owned by Hanaya Arabians from Switzerland, scoring multiple 20’s on type, head and movement. Later in the se-nior mares championships she took the Gold medal and was awarded with the Best Straight Egyptian of 2015 award! Second with 94 points was another incredible mare, bred and owned by Dubai Arabian Horse Stud from the UAE, named D Folah (Royal Colours x DF Faaiqs Farida). What a pleasure to see two of these fantastic mares in one class!The second group also had some amazing mares competing. Winner with 92.64 points and later Bronze medal win-ner was Lujyan AA (Nader al Jamal x Lamis AA) – bred by Ariela Arabians and owned by RB Arabian Stud from Israel. Second with 91.57 points was the Black pearl CFL Estelle (Royal Colours x Sauro’s Hamyra) – bred by Toma-soni and owned by El Farida Stud from Egypt.The Sunday started with the 7-9 years old mares. Three participants, all scoring way over 91 points. Winner with 92.57 points was Pyramid Kahileh K (Al Lahab x Bint Kahila) – bred and owned by Wagner from Germany. Se-cond with 91.93 points was Bint Tahanie (Suhal al Nasser x Tahanie) – bred by Linda Lashley and owned by Hanaya

Arabians from Switzerland.The last mare class was pure eye candy. Four mares aged 10 years and older paraded through the arena. Clear winner of the class with 93.64 points was the ultra typy Darine al Rayyan (Ashhal al Rayyan x Aisha) – bred and owned by Al Rayyan Stud from Qatar. Not only did she score multiple 20s on type and head but also a well deserved 20 on move-ment! In the championships she was tie for Gold but lost on marks so took the Silver. Second in this class with 91.71 points was Wanaba (OR Walkir x DC Manaba Moniet) – bred by the Brizio family and owned by Luciano Zenti from Italy. Earlier she won the Best head female class and was also now awarded with a 20 on head.The show continued with the always impressive stallions! Gorgeous stallions were entered in the 4-6 years old stallion class who was divided into two groups. In the first group there were two stallions battling for the class win. Both sco-ring extremely high in points. In the end it was the big mo-ving Frasera Dubai (Phaaros x Frasera Mashara) – bred and owned by La Frasera stud in Italy – who took the win with a total of 93.36 points! Later in the championships he took the Silver medal. Second in this class with still 93 points and later Bronze champion was Zain al Dean (Laheeb x Jowhara al Okab) – bred and owned by Abu Feysal.The second group of stallions was again high quality with again a battle between two stallions, both scoring way over 93 points. Winner with 93.79 points was the ultra typy Baarez el Farida (Imperial Baarez x Nour Saqr) – bred and owned by El Farida Stud from Egypt – scoring multi-

ple 20s on type and head. Later in the championships he took the Gold medal. Second in this class with still 93.36 points was the beautiful bay Nayiel al Khaled (Ansata Safeer x Nefertiti) – bred by Al Khaled Farm and owned by Al Zad stud from Kuwait.More stallion power in the next class. Beautiful breeding stallions aged 7 years and older. A class led by the incredi-ble Laheeb al Nasser (Al Adeed al Shaqab x Bint Saida al Nasser) – bred by Al Nasser Stud and owned by Hanaya Arabians from Switzerland. Laheeb, who only gets more beautiful with age, scored a total of 93.21 points. Second in this class with 92.79 points was another very typy stallion named Al Sa’eedi (Kyro KA x True Sahara) – scoring two well deserved 20s on head. He is bred and owned by Said Khair Stud from Jordan.The last class was the Owner to Handle class were the owner himself takes the lead! Winner of this class was Ali Nour el Dahab (MA Alishah x Chrymont bint Gasoudah) – bred by Josef Kullmann and owned by Petra Nutt from Germany!A great edition of the Egyptian Event Europe came to an end. Saddly, also the last edition of the EEE organized by the Oben Family at the Pietersheim Castle in Lanaken. Af-ter organizing many great editions of the EEE, Mr. Oben had to say goodbye and retired from the organization of this show. We would like to thank Mr. Oben for all his ef-fort he made over the past years to bring the most beautiful Straight Egyptians in the world to one same place in Bel-gium to meet with the best of the best!
