Features

Resilient, high-strength steel springs form a smooth, natural trough for total belt contact. Spring is self-cleaning and provides self- training operation.

Rotating “U” brackets for materials. In for light-to- heavy materials with low surcharge angles. Out for heavier materials with high surcharge angles.

The idler’s spring resiliency cushions the load for reduced spillage, pro- longed belt life, lower maintenance and quiet operation.

Ehrsam® Bucket Elevator Systems Ehrsam Products incorporates gen- erations of knowledge and experience into the design and fabrication of all of its conveying, processing equip- ment and engineered installations so you can load, unload, feed, convey and elevate bulk materials efficiently and economically.

Ehrsam elevators are available in a wide variety of sizes and models to meet most standard applications. Our engineers are available to design spe- cific equipment and systems to meet your custom applications.

Centrifugal discharge bucket elevators are ideal for handling free flowing, fine to small lump material such as coal, sand, clay, cullet or dry powders and chemicals. Buckets mounted at spaced intervals are loaded by either material flowing directly into the buck- ets or by scooping material up from the bottom of the boot. Material is dis- charged by centrifugal force as the buckets pass over the head wheel. Standard models include fixed head shafts and adjustable screw type takeups. Gravity takeups are available. Models with adjustable head shafts and fixed boot shafts are ideal for han- dling materials that tend to pack or build up in the boot or for food and other materials that contain a high percent- age of lumps. Centrifugal discharge bucket elevators offer either iron or steel buckets and chains or belts.

Continuous bucket elevators are commonly used for light to heavy ma- terials with fine to large lumps. Mounted continuously on chain, the buckets are arranged so that the one immediately proceeding the bucket passing over the head wheel acts as a chute to cushion the descending material and direct it into the dis- charge spout. Standard model buck- ets are filled either by a direct flow of material or by scooping material up from the bottom of the boot. Standard models feature steel plate and angle iron construction. Material flows directly into the steel buckets from a loading leg. The con- tinuous steel buckets are mounted on a single chain. Ehrsam super capacity continuous bucket elevators are designed to handle large volumes of heavy or abra- sive materials containing fine to large lumps. Its buckets, end-mounted be- tween dual strands of chain, are filled directly from a loading leg.

Ehrsam® Engineered Equipment & Parts for Wallboard Plants Ehrsam Operations engineers and supplies most of the individual com- ponent machines and equipment for wallboard plants. Also, as the Origi- nal Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) we have the original manufacturing drawings to supply the correct replace- ment parts for your existing Ehrsam equipment.

Calcining Kettles Ehrsam calcining kettles remove chemically bound water from raw pul- verized gypsum. The material is simul- taneously heated and agitated in a carefully controlled process. The re- sulting product, a homogeneous cal- cined stucco, is then transferred to a holding bin at the head of a wallboard plant. Individual kettle capacities range from 10 to 20 tons per hour of stucco.

Bundlers Ehrsam board bundlers receive pairs of dried wallboard panels either booked face to face or stacked. The bundler squares and aligns them, trims the ends to the desired finished length and then end-tapes the booked boards prior to stacking.

Pin Mixers Ehrsam pin mixers continuously blend stucco, water, foam and other addi- tives into a homogeneous mixture and discharge it onto the “face” paper at the start of the wallboard making pro- cess.

Microprocessor Controlled Knives Ehrsam high speed rotary cut-off knives are electronically controlled to provide accurate and uniform length cuts on the green wallboard prior to drying. Ehrsam can guarantee toler- ances of + 1/16” for a single stream board operation. This accuracy results in minimum waste during final end trim- ming of dried finished wallboard in the bundler.
