Predators, inappropriate material, identity theft, online harassment or bullying etc.

What is cyber bullying?

Cyber bullying is when communication online turns hostile, threatening, or harassing whether in email,

chat, instant messages, through bulletin boards, or even webpages.

What is netiquette?

Netiquette is a set of rules for online communication.

What are some netiquette rules?

Answer

        Avoid typing in all capitals, which is considered shouting        Never send a Flame email – make sure you aren’t angry when you send email, that you proofread, etc.        Use emoticons to convey emotions.• Be considerate of others while communicating online.

Why should netiquette be used in online communication?

So that people don’t get upset, feel bullied or harassed, or have their feelings hurt by mistake.

What should you do if you are being bullied or harassed online?

Tell Someone! Tell a trusted adult such as a parent or teacher.

Keep telling adults until you get help.
