Eighteenth Annual Holiday Safety & Health Council Meeting The Northern Adirondack Safety & Health Council, the Capital Region Safety & Health Council and the Hudson Valley Safety & Health Council invite you to attend our eighteenth annual holiday meeting in scenic Lake Placid. The morning session will focus on recognizing the warning signs. In the afternoon, Steve Huntington will provide the essential information needed in the event of an active shooter situation. Steve Huntington is a certified Police Firearms Instructor (in Patrol Rifle, Shotgun and Handgun) as well as a General Topics Police Instructor. He has over 27 years of experience as a Police Officer and Instructor. Mr. Huntington instructed firearms training at the Zone 5 New York State Law Enforcement Officers Academy, Fort Edward Police Officer's Part Time Law Enforcement Academy as well as School Director & Instructor for the village of Lake George Peace Officer Academy. Steve has recently started instructing Active Shooter training classes to help prepare the public and private sectors for active shooter situations. Steve is also a AAA Defensive Driving Instructor.
