But recently the Spanish alphabet has been reduced to just 27 letters, 26 being the same as ours but one
more letter the ñ.
However, I will teach the alphabet with the ll, ñ and rr
NOTE *The song we sing will not include the rr.

Las vocales
The vowels in Spanish only have 1 sound unlike in English. Once you memorize their sound you will be
able to read in Spanish.

For the following words write down the letters that you hear me saying. Once you are done, I will show you the correct word and you can compare your word to mine. Good Luck!

Te toca a tí
Now it is your turn. You and your shoulder partner will face each other. One person will face towards the whiteboard, the other person will face towards the windows. The person looking at the windows will have a whiteboard and marker. The person facing the whiteboard will spell out the word to their partner. The partner will write it down on the whiteboard. Once they are finished they will compare the whiteboard with the note card. You will do this 5 times, then switch positions. ¿Listos?
