• WIDA ACCESS score reports available now in WIDA-AMS
• Growth targets for 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 will be set this
summer, after the final state data file is received mid-May.

IDOE Updates: Indiana ILP Database
• On March 15th, the Indiana Department of Administration released its award notification for Public Consulting Group (PCG) for the IDOE requested statewide ILP database.
• IDOE is in the initial contracting stages with PCG. We are currently planning for a pilot program rollout at the beginning of next school year and full rollout for all Indiana schools in 2019.

IDOE Updates: Dual Language Immersion Grants
• Applications are due May 11 at 4p.m. EDT.
• Applications can be accessed through the IDOE website and
will be submitted by Jotform.

IDOE Updates: CoMP
• Nationwide, 43 states have opted to offer this recognition. Indiana has 64 schools currently implementing the Certificate of Multilingual Proficiency (CoMP).
• Year-end report will be sent out at the beginning of June.
• Schools interested in participating can find out more on the IDOE CoMP page or by reaching out to Nicole Leach at [email protected].
Literacy Framework
The IDOE values your expertise and would like Hoosier EL educators to help develop a literacy framework, a standards-based tool to support achievement. We are seeking motivated EL educators who have at least 3 years of teaching experience at their current grade level and have experience creating formative assessments. The date for this work group is Thursday, June 21st. Please complete this form if interested and able to attend. Contact Nicole Leach at [email protected] if you have any questions.
EL Family and Community Engagement
Project Goals:
• To identify successful EL family and community engagement strategies
• To identify schools who are open to visits to share their proven successful programs for EL families and community engagement

• State Board of Education is finalizing guidance for the Graduation Pathways for release this summer. The guidance will address several questions related to English Learners.
• Language accommodations as documented on an ILP are available for some of the assessment options, including the ACT.
