D.O.P.D.O.P.Direct object pronouns take the place of the object
in the sentence. By using DOPs we are saying “it/them” rather than saying the object over and
over. These can also replace people, not just ‘things’.
Por ejemplo: “Yesterday I went to the mall to buy some shoes. I found the shoes that I liked and tried the shoes on. I wanted to buy the shoes so I took the shoes up to the clerk and paid for the shoes. All of my friends like
my shoes and want to buy some shoes just like the shoes I bought.”
This sounds silly so we use the pronouns to replace the shoes with “them”.
D.O.P.D.O.P.me nostelo/la los/las
DOPs are placed in front of a conjugated verbs or “smooshed” to the back of the
infinitive.Yo tengo el libro. Yo lo tengo.
Ella estudia la biología. Ella la estudia.
Quiero comprar unos zapatos. Quiero comprarlos.
Los quiero comprar

su (his/her) su (their)
*nuestro/a is the only one that must reflect the gender of the noun. All must reflect number.

Tu perro Nuestra casa Nuestras amigas
Sus zapatos Mis clases Su hermano
Los adjetivos demonstrativos
Demonstrative adjectives describe the noun in relation to it’s distance from you.
