ELASTIC PRESSURE TRANSDUCERS
PRESENTED TO:DR. Ing NAVEED RAMZAN PRESENTED BY:2007-chem-87
ESSENTIALS OF PRESSURE MEASUREMENT
Pressure measuring devices usually used for the measurement of the pressure exerted by a fluid.
The application of the force for the pressure calculations must be perpendicular to the surface.
Pressure is strongly influenced by position within a static fluid but, at a given position, it is independent of direction.
Pressure is unaffected by the shape of the confining boundaries.

ELASTIC PRESSURE TRANSDUCERS:
The flexible element detect the process pressure.

BOURDON TUBE PRESSURE GAUGE
It can measure the pressure of steam and air up to 100,000 psig.
CLASSIFICATION OF BOURDON TUBE PRESSURE GAUGE

DIAPHRAGM PRESSURE TRANSDUCER
A diaphragm is typically constructed of two flexible disks, and when a pressure is applied to one face of the diaphragm, the position of the disk face changes due to deformation. The position can be related to pressure.
CLASSIFICATION OF DIAPHRAGMS
Use the elastic property of the diaphragmOpposed by the spring
BELLOWS
Bellows are the elastic element and is convoluted unit.
The bellows elastic element contract and expand axially by the pressure change.
Applied pressure may be on the inside or the outside of the bellows.
CLASSIFICATION OF BELLOWS
Simple bellow element
CLASSIFICATION OF BELLOWS
Dual bellow indicator
