Yes/No questions

Yes / No questions are also called closed questions because there are only two possible responses: Yes or No .

When forming a Yes / No question, it must include one of these verbs: BE, DO, HAVE, or a modal verb. It is impossible to ask a Yes / No question without one of these verbs.

2 .Possessive “s”

When we want to show that something belongs to somebody or something, we usually add an apostrophe + s ('s) to a singular noun and an apostrophe (') to a plural noun, for example:

the boy's ball (one boy)the boys' ball (two or more boys)

Proper Nouns (Names)

We very often use possessive 's with names:

This is Mary's car.Where is Ram's telephone?Who took Anthony's pen?I like Tara's hair.

When a name ends in s, we usually treat it like any other singular noun, and add 's:

This is Charles's chair.

Plural noun Singular noun

My children's dog My child's dog

The men's work The man's work

The mice's cage The mouse's cage

People's clothes A person's clothes
