FunctionThe top and bottom blade shaft, mountedat one side on bearings, is driven by athree-phase a.c. motor via a multi-stepspur gearing. Various gear ratios permitthe selection of different cutting speeds.The cutting speed may also be adjustedto the processing speed with frequency-controlled three-phase a.c. actuators.

Implementation areaThe main area of implementation is pro-cessing machines for paper, film, fabricsand non-wovens. In the majority of cases,mounting is after the final processingstage prior to winding.

ApplicationThe web cutter is suitable for horizontaland vertical web travel. An optimum cut-ting position is when the web cutter is til-ted at an angle of 15°. A maximum usablewidth may be achieved if a web guider ismounted in front of the cutting station.

PositioningA range of support beams is available formanual or motor-driven positioning.
