Getting Started with SLUGlobal This hands-on workshop will provide a walk-through of many features of SLUGlobal. In this session, you will learn how to customize your course, upload your syllabus, add announcements and make your course available to your students. Best Practices in eLearning This purpose of this session is to introduce you to a framework for designing or improving your blended or online course. During this hands-on workshop, we will discuss online and blended, examine the evaluation rubric in detail, summarize the research on best practices in course design and delivery, review several exemplars of effective (and not-so-effective) online course design, and generate a personalized plan. Any remaining time will be devoted to participant Q & A.

SLUGlobal Interactive Tools: Blogs, Wikis, and Discussion Boards This workshop will demonstrate the various interactive tools in SLUGlobal; primarily blogs, wikis, and discussion boards. You will learn how to create all three and will identify ways to implement them to enhance student communication, reflection, and collaboration. Any remaining time will be devoted to activities that promote active and engaged learning.
