Greetings!
2017 was a great year for our city. Westfield’sresidentialandcommercialgrowth has continued to expand, making us one of the fastest-growing communities in Indiana.
Grand Park made big news earlier this year when the Indianapolis Colts announced the sports complex would be home to the Colts Training Camp for the next 10 years. From October 2016 to October 2017 the park saw 1.8M visits, and brought in over 67,000 hotel nights. During the same time period, Grand Park hosted 10,960 teams. Truly amazing.
We had several major economic development breakthroughs. Toyota-Bastian announced in October the company would make an $8MinvestmentinWestfield,buildinganewfacilityandcreating87 new, high-wage jobs by 2020. 2017 also saw two new hotels go up, with a new Hampton Inn at the US 31/SR 32 intersection, and a new Cambria Suites going in at Grand Park.
Foodies among us were also pleased to see a few new restaurants goingin, suchasChiba,NobleRoman’sPizza,Culver’s,UrbanVines,GrandJunctionBrewingTaproomandJack’sDonuts.
