Education• Provideadditionalsupportforpublicschoolstopartnerwith

earlychildhoodproviderstocolocatefacilities.Establishtwo

demonstrationsites,oneintheInnerWestofSydneyand

oneinTamworth,toidentifyopportunitiesforcollaboration

andconnection

• Buildamulti-milliondollarschoolinDubboforstudentswith

specialneeds.Theprojectwillinclude:

– aschoolforspecificpurposesoffourclassroomswith

practicalactivityareas,aspecialprogramsroom,

purpose-builtbathrooms,agamescourtandan

undercoverstudentdropoffarea

– theNetworkedSpecialistCentrewitharangeof

multipurposerooms.Sharedfacilitiesforthewhole

centrewillincludemultipurposespaces,highlevel

technologyfacilitiesandcarparking

• Builda$40millioneducationprecinctontheUTSLindfield

site.Theprojectwillinclude:

– aK-12publicschoolformorethan2,000students

– a40-placepreschool

– a100-placeout-of-school-hourscarecentre

– theEducationDepartment’sNorthernSydneyEducation

office

– acentreforPhDstudentsineducationresearch

– aconferenceandtrainingcentre

• PrepareafundedSchoolAssetStrategicPlanthatmanages

projectedrequirementsto2031

• $148milliontoupgradenearly60secondaryschoolsand

improveteachingandlearningacrosstheState

• Provide$4millionoverfouryearstodeliveraspecialised

programtochildrenandyoungpeopletofurtherstrengthen

existingchildprotectioneducationmeasuresinNSWschools

• $224milliontotrainandsupportprimaryschoolteachersto

becomementorstoothers

– Thefundingwillallowtheequivalentof1,000

primaryschoolteacherstosharetheirstrategieswith

theircolleaguesandmonitorstudentperformancedata

toensureteachersfocusedonareasofneed

• Invest$20milliontoupgrade50sciencelabsinNSWpublic

schools,includingRiverstoneHighSchool

• Undertakea$5millionmajorupgradeofPottsvilleBeach

PublicSchooltoprovidefacilitiesforupto1,000students.

Upgradeswillinclude:

– constructinganewmulti-storeybuildingwith10

classrooms,alibrary,aspecialprogramsroom,sports

storesandotherstudentfacilities

– convertingtheexistinglibraryintotwoclassroomsand

extendingtheexistingadministrationblocktoprovide

additionaladministrationandstafffacilities

– removinganumberofdemountablesfromthesite

• ProvidenewdistanceeducationfacilitiesinQueanbeyanas

partofa$10milliondollarproject

• Createa$20millionBeforeandAfterSchoolCare

fundtohelpestablishnewservicesingovernmentand

non-governmentprimaryschoolcommunitiesthatdonot

currentlyhaveaservice

– Thiswillprovideupto45,000additionaloutofschool

hourscare(OSHC)placestosupporthardworkingNSW

families

– Grantsofupto$20,000willbemadeavailableto

atleast1,000governmentandlesswellresourced

non-governmentprimaryschoolstohelpwiththecost

ofestablishinganOSHCservice,andmeetgrowing

communitydemand

• Invest$3milliontorebuildStClairHighSchool,including:

– acommercialgradekitchen

– amezzanineleveltoconnectthenewbuildwiththe

existingbuilding

– overhangingshadeareas

– flexiblelearningspacesandfurniture

• Undertakeamulti-milliondollarupgradeoftheHunterSchool

ofthePerformingArts

– Theupgrade,estimatedatover$7million,willincludea

newgymnasiumandoutdoorperformancespace

• Undertakeamulti-milliondollarupgradeofIngleburnNorth

PublicSchool

– Thiswillinclude24newclassrooms,anewlibrary,new
