Future Agricultural EnergyRequirements
Hohokam Irrigation and Drainage District, which isentirely within ED2’s boundaries, will begin toexperience reductions in its water supply starting in2013. By 2030, it is anticipated that all CAPagricultural water deliveries will end. Pinal Countyagriculture will then be almost entirely reliant onpumped water for irrigation purposes.Consequently, it is expected that ED2’s energyrequirements to serve irrigation loads will increasesignificantly above current levels.
