The deligates from various organizations - Andhra Univesity College of Engineering, JNTU Vizianagaram, ANITS, AITAM (Tekkali), LENDI, DIET, VITAM, VIET, Sai Ganapathi Engineering College, CITM, Chaitanya Engineering college, Behara Polytehnic college participated in the FDP. The inaugural function has been started at 09:30 AM on 13th November at Block III, seminar hall. Dr.G.V. Siva Krshna Rao, Professor and Chairman BOS in Electrical Engineering, Andhra University, is the Chief Guest of the Inaugural function.

Report on

A Two Day National Level Faculty Development Programme on

ELECTRICAL POWER & CONTROL – NEEDS AND RECENT TRENDS

EPCNRT – 2k17

On 13th and 14th November, 2017

The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering has organized a Two Day National

Level Faculty Development Programme on “Electrical Power & Control - Needs and Recent

Trends (EPCNRT – 2k17)” on 13th and 14th November, 2017 in association with ADVAYA

Departmental Forum.

Mr.K.S.Ramanjaneyulu, Head of the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, is the

Convener of the event and Mr.B.V.Veeranjaneyulu is the co-convener.

The deligates from various organizations - Andhra Univesity College of Engineering, JNTU

Vizianagaram, ANITS, AITAM (Tekkali), LENDI, DIET, VITAM, VIET, Sai Ganapathi

Engineering College, CITM, Chaitanya Engineering college, Behara Polytehnic college

participated in the FDP.

The inaugural function has been started at 09:30 AM on 13th November at Block – III, seminar

hall.

Dr.G.V. Siva Krshna Rao, Professor and Chairman – BOS in Electrical Engineering, Andhra

University, is the Chief Guest of the Inaugural function.

Honorable Secretary, Dr.N.Prasada Raju, the institution Dean R & D, Professor

Dr.K.Umakantham and the correspondent of the institution Mr.N.Sai Varma inaugurated the

event by lightening the lamp.

The addressing of the gathering has been done by all the dignitaries on the dias. The Convener of

the event, Mr.K.S.Ramanjaneyulu addressed the gathering with a grand welcome.

Our respected Dean R & D, Professor Dr.K.Umakantham with his valuable message gave a

boost up for the participants. The Correspondent of the institution Mr.N.Sai Varma, gave his best

wishes for the participants and encouraged the Department of Electrical & Electronics

Engineering.

Honorable Secretary Dr.N.Prasada Raju sir, greeted the participants with his warm wishes and

wished the department all the best.

Dr.G.V.Siva Krishna Rao shared his valuable experiences on this special occasion. The

dignitaries felicitated the Chief Guest and the inaugural function came to an end.

A tea break was given for 10 minutes.

After the recess, the session has been started at 11:00 AM. The Mr.I.S.Rao, Head of Indo German

institute of Advanced Technology (IGIAT) Mr.B.Vinod kumar - Director, Mr.Narayana S Pallanti - HR

Manger, Mr.Devaraj Sekhar. R - Instrument Engineer addressed the gathering.

The dignitaries emphasized on the recent advancements in PLC and various courses for the present

engineers to learn and train themselves for placements in suitable Multi National Companies. The

Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) between the Department of Electrical & Electronics

Engineering, NSRIT and IGIAT has been signed for conducting continuous sessions like workshops,

seminars, lectures and Industrial Visits.

After the exchange of MOU, The Technical Session – I has been started by Mr.Devaraj Sekhar.R. He

gave presentation on PLC with practical applications. The session was ended at 01:00PM.

From 01:00PM to 02:00 PM lunch break

After the lunch, the Technical Session - II has been started by Dr.Ch.V.V.S.Bhaskara Reddy,

Professor, Andhra University, gave a presentation on “Recent Trends in Power Systems and

Statistics” in a very ellobrate manner covering several aspects of Power Systems right from the

beginning to the lattent trends in Power Systems.

And it was ended at 04:00 PM with the felicitation of the guest of honor.

On 14th November, Day -2, Technical Session - III has been started at 10:30AM by Dr.G.V.

Nagesh Kumar, Professor, Vignan Institute of Information & Technology. He gave a

presentation on “Gas Insulated substations”. He has explained to the deligates about the

construction of substations and elobated about the various functional aspects in substations.

At 11:30 AM tea break was given and the session was restarted at 11:45AM. Dr.G.V. Nagesh

Kumar gave continuous guidelines and instructions regarding research and further developments

of faculty.

From 01:00 PM – 02:00PM Lunch break.

At 02:00 PM, the Technical Session – III was started by Dr.G.Saraswathi, Professor & Vice -

Principal (Academics), Department of Electrical Engineering, JNTU Vizianagaram. She gave

presentation on PLC and general teaching methodologies.

The session came to an end at 03:15 PM.

The Valedictory function was started at 03:30 PM. Honorable Secretary Dr.N.Prasada Raju, our

beloved principal Dr.B.V.R.Ravi kumar, Respected Dean R & D Professor Dr. K.Umakantham,

Correspondent Mr.N.Sai Varma attended the valedictory function.

Mr.K.S.Ramanjaneyulu, the Convener of the event and the Head of the Department,

congratulated the deligates on the success of the two days programme. The Dean R & D of the

institute Dr.K.Umakantham gave his message for the deligates and the department.

Dr.B.V.R. Ravikumar, beloved principal & Dr.N.Prasada Raju, honorable secretary

congratulated the participants and the members of the EEE Department and advised to conduct

more and more such technical events in every semester.

Dr.G.V.Saraswathi, Professor & Vice - Principal (Academics), Department of Electrical

Engineering, JNTU Vizianagaram congratulated the participants, EEE Department and the

management for conducting such technical Faculty Development programmes. She advised the

management to conduct more of such events and also to allow the faculty to attend technical

events in other colleges and premier institutes.

The felicitation was then done to the guest of honor Dr.G.Saraswathi by the dignitaries as a token

of honour.

Mr.G.Pydi Raju, Mr.A.Yellaji, Ms. M.Sreedevi, Mr.K.M.M.Tarakesh, Mr.K.Bala Siva,

Ms.B.Aishwarya, Mr.P.Madhusudhan, Mr.P.Venkatesh, Ms. Pushpalatha, Ms.O.L.Bhavana,

Mr.B.Rami Reddy, Mr.K.Santosh Reddy, Mr.Venkata Ramana also participated.
