Replace 15KV Outdoor Switchgear
History Dual 69KV feed from PPL to the Plant (2) Substation Style Transformers (12470V sec.) Double-ended 15KV Switchgear with Tie CB (N.C.) (4) Active 15KV Feeders to other substations on campus Major issues in the past due to age, design issues, etc. IETC was very knowledgeable of this gear due to multiple
service calls to the facility. Experienced faults, leaks and even caught fire. 2013 budget was approved to replace old switchgear.

Was a complete design/build project between Customer & IETC Work included:
Design/Engineering/Management/Scheduling Coordination with PPL (Utility) Equipment Procurement Electrical Construction Overhead line work (15KV) Electrical Testing & Commissioning Owner Training
Design/Build Design of new switchgear (AutoCAD)
Coordinated layout, grounding, feeders from transformers, utility metering and circuit feeders from new gear.
Coordination/S.C. study and arc flash study (SKM)
Performed equipment procurement Ordered equipment, reviewed shop drawings and coordinated overall
shipment schedule.
Construction Work included: Project Management Coordination with PPL, local rigger, Owner, etc. Underground conduit layout Maintenance pad layout
