Supplying and laying in pavement 60 mm thick

homogeneous inter locking paving blocks as per the

following specifications, all material and labour complete

in all respects.

a) The homogeneous paving stones shall be constucted

from a 'no slump' concrete mix of M30 grade. Fade

resistant colour pigments shall be added to the concrete

mix.

b) Over the compacted subbase a layer of bedding sand

shall be spread, lightly compacted and screeded to a

thickness of 40 mm.

c) Over the prepared sand bedding, interlocking

homogenous paver blocks are loosely laid, maintaining

agap of 2-4 mm between the blocks.The blocks are then

compacted into the bedding sand by use of heavy duty

vibratory plate compactors. The blocks sink about 10-15

through the joints establishing partial frictional interlock.

be spread over the blocks and broomed into the joints. The

REUSE OF TREATED EFFLUENT: The treated Effluent Should be disposed off suitably.

It should meet the above stringent standards or any other condition of the state pollution

board .

TREATMENT CONCEPT

The treatment should be decided keeping in mind the raw effluent quality and desired

treated effluent quality. The following are few main points.

As can be seen from the design parameters, the untreated effluent BOD is 3200 mg / LTR.

The desire treated effluent BOD is 30 Mg / ltr. It is not possible to reduce the BOD to the

desire level without going for two-stage aeration. Therefore dual stage aeration for

the treatment shoul be provided.

The Effluent produced in slaughter house should pass through the screen at the outlet of

slaughter house and connected to a common channel. The effluent then should go to the

Screen Chamber.

The Effluent produced should first passes through a screen chamber for the removal of large

floatable and particles. where large sized solids, horn, nails etc should be trapped and

removed manually, two chambers should be provided for screenings. The screening removal

should be done manually. Since flow involved is too small, screen sizing should be done as

minimum. These should be provided so that while one is being cleaned, the other can be

used. The effluent then should flows to the Oils & greases trap.

In the Oil & Grease Trap, the Oils & greases having specific gravity less than water should

be traped. The gravity-based trap separates oils & Greases from the effluent. The animal fats

in greasy form should be trapped here. Then the effluent should go to Equalization Tank.

In the Equalization Tank, the quantity and quality fluctuations should be absorbed. Almost

24 hours should be taken in the storage tank, Diffused aeration should be incorporated to

prevent septic conditions and to keep the suspended matters in suspension. The Effluent

should be pumped to the Primary settling tank.

In primary settling tank removal of suspended solid should be done by gravity settling. This

should be achieved by providing adequate retention time in a quiescent state. For enhanced

settling rate addition of flocculent should be recommended.

Floculation zone should also be provided after flocculent mixing and before sedimentation.

We expect the output BOD of 2100mg/L after primary settling of effluent. Then Effluent

should be gone to aeration tank I.

In the Aeration Tank-1 the BOD/COD load reduction should take place. In this tank the

bacterial culture should be added as returned activated sludge. There should be sufficient

incorporation of air by diffused aeration for balanced growth of micro-organisms in a

biological treatment reactor, the ratios BOD:N:P should be 100:5:1 for aerobic system. The

urea and DAP tank is to be included in the scope of supply which can accommodate one

days requirements of the chemicals. Micro organism degrade the complex organic pollutant

contained in the effluent and establish a multiplication cycle.

The continued growth of micro-organism results into formation of flocks which have

tendency to settle down when provided a quiescent settling zone. The mixed liquor

(containing flocks of micro organism) here after should be transferred to secondary clarifier-

I for settling, separation and activation of flocks.

Secondary Clarifiers-I should be in the shape of squire tank having hopper bottom with

central feed and peripheral treated effluent collection arrangement. The sludge settles in

hopper bottom and it shall be also partially demoisturized. Sludge should be sent back to

aeration tank I and excess sludge to sludge pit. In this first stage of Aeration cycle, we

expect the BOD reduction to tune of 85-90%. We expect the output BOD of 210mg/ltr. after

first stage of Aeration Cycle. Then the effluent should go to aeration tank II.

In the Aeration Tank-II the BOD/COD load reduction takes place. In this the bacterial

culture should be added as returned activated sludge. There is sufficient incorporation of air

by diffused aeration for balanced growth of micro-organism in a biological treatment

In treated water tank proper chlorination should be done for disinfection in this tank.

Suitable dosing system has to be provided for Chlorination. The treated water then pumped

to pressure sand filter and then disposed off suitably.

From Sludge holding tank sludge should be pumped to filter press / Centrifuge/sludge

drying beds.

The Filter press/Centrifuge/sludge drying beds further concentrate the sludge and converts it

into sludge cakes. The sludge cakes should be removed and should be ideal for use in land

filling material as well as manure. The filtrate water should be transferred to the equalisation

tank.

Turnkey basis for the proposed slaughter house at AllochiBagh, near Municipal Cattle Pond, Tangpora Bye Pass,

Srinagar.

And whereas, the Contractor has agreed to submit a performance security in the form of a bank guarantee to the

Municipal Corporation of Delhi as per the terms and conditions of the bidding documents and the contract which

will be kept valid upto ................................ (12 calendar months) from the date of bank guarantee. And whereas,

the bank and its duly constituted agent and officer has already read and understood the contract made between

the Srinagar Municipal Corporation and the Contractor.

Srinagar Municipal Corporation its legal representative, successors, and assignees that the within named (the

being the essence of the Contract) and in the manner therein provided, do all obligations there under and we

further undertake and guarantee to make payment to the Srinagar Municipal Corporation a sum of Rs

proof that the Contractor has failed to perform or fulfil his obligation under the contract and neither dispute

to vary and of the terms and the conditions of the bidding document and the contract of its extend the time of

performance by the said Contractor from time to time or postpone for any time or from time to time and any of

the power exercisable by the Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, against the Contractor and to

forbear or enforce any of the terms and conditions relating to the said bidding document and the contract and we

shall not be relieved being granted to the said contractor or for any forbearance, act or omission on the part of the

Srinagar Municipal Corporation to the said Contractor by any such matter or thing whatsoever which under the

law relating to sureties would but for this provision have effect of so relieving us.

This guarantee shall be in addition to and without prejudice to any other securities or remedies which the

Srinagar Municipal Corporation may have or hereafter possess in respect of the works executed or intended to be

executed and the Srinagar Municipal Corporation shall be under no obligation to may shall in favour of the, bank

any such securities or funds or asset that the Srinagar Municipal Corporation may be entitled to receive or have a

claim upon and the Srinagar Municipal Corporation at its absolute discretion may vary, exchange, renew, modify

or refuse to complete to enforce or assign any security or instrument.

The bank agrees that the amount hereby guaranteed shall be due and payable to the Srinagar Municipal

Corporation on serving us with a notice, requiring the payment of the amount and such notice shall be deemed to

have been served on the bank either by actual delivery thereof to the banks or by dispatch thereof to the bank by

registered post at the address of the bank.

Any notice sent to the bank at its address by registered post shall be deemed to have been duly served on the

bank not withstanding that the notice may not in fact has been delivered to the bank.

In order to give full effects to the provisions of this guarantee the bank hereby waives all rights inconsistent with

the above provisions and which the bank might otherwise as a guarantee be entitled to claim and enforce.
