3. Ensure that the lid is closed after ev-ery refill.

According to the finish and drying resultsobtained, adjust the dose of rinse aid bymeans of the 6 position selector (posi-tion 1 minimum dosage, position 6 maxi-mum dosage). The dose is factory set in position 4.

Increase the dose if there are drops ofwater or lime spots on the dishes afterwashing.Reduce it if there are sticky whitishstreaks on the dishes or a bluish film onglassware or knife blades.

Fitting under a counter (kitchenworktop or sink)

Remove all packaging before position-ing the machine. If possible, position the machine next toa water tap and a drain.By removing the machine's worktop, you can install it under a close fitting sinkunit or a pre-existing top, providing thedimensions of the recess correspond tothose shown in the picture.

Proceed as follows:

• Remove the machine’s worktop byunscrewing the two rear retainingscrews, pull the worktop from theback of the machine and slide out thefront slots, lifting the worktop.

Insert the machine after adjusting thelevelling with the adjustable feet. Wheninserting the machine, ensure that thewater inlet and drain hoses are notkinked or squashed.During all operations that involveaccessibility to internal components thedishwasher has to be unplugged.Be sure that once the appliance hasbeen installed, it is easily accessible forthe service engineer in the event that arepair is required. If the dishwasher is later used as a free-standing appliance, the original worktopmust be re-mounted.The plinth on free-standing appliances isnot adjustable.

Water connection

Water supply connection

This dishwasher may be fed with eitherhot (max. 60°) or cold water. Neverthe-less we advise you a cold water supply.A hot water supply is not always efficientwith very soiled crockery as it shortensthe washing programmes a lot.For making the connection itself, thecoupling nut fitted to the machine’s sup-ply hose is designed to screw onto a3/4" gas thread spout or to a purposemade quick-coupling tap such as thePress-block.The water pressure must be within thelimits given in the "Technical data". Yourlocal Water Authority will advise you onthe average mains pressure in your area. The water inlet hose must not be kinked, crushed, or entangled when it is beingconnected. The dishwasher features fill and drainhoses which can be turned either to theleft or the right to suit the installation bymeans of the locknut. The locknutmust be correctly fitted to avoid wa-ter leaks.

Attention! NOT all models of dish-washers have fill and drain hosesprovided with a locknut. In this case, this facility is not available.

If the machine is connected to new pipesor pipes which have not been used for a

long time, you should run the water for afew minutes before connecting the inlethose.DO NOT use connection hoseswhich have previously been used foran old appliance.

This appliance has been fitted withsafety features which will preventthe water used in the appliance fromreturning back into the drinking wa-ter system. This appliance complieswith the applicable plumbing regu-lations.

Water outlet hose connection

The end of the drain hose can be con-nected in the following ways:

1. To the sink outlet spigot, securing itto the underside of the work surface. This will prevent waste water fromthe sink running into the machine.

2. To a stand pipe provided with vent-hole, minimum internal diameter 4cm.

The waste connection must be at aheight of between 30 cm (minimum) and100 cm (maximum) from the bottom ofthe dishwasher.

water connection electrolux 33

The drain hose can face either to theright or left of the dishwasherEnsure the hose is not bent or squashedas this could prevent or slow down thedischarge of water. The sink plug must not be in place whenthe machine is draining as this couldcause the water to syphon back into themachine. If you use a drain hose extension it mustbe no longer than 2 metres and its inter-nal diameter must be no smaller than thediameter of the hose provided.Likewise the internal diameter of thecouplings used for connections to thewaste outlet must be no smaller than thediameter of the hose provided.

When connecting the drain hose to anunder sink trap spigot, the entire plas-tic membrane (A) must be re-moved. Failure to remove all the mem-brane will result in food particles buildingup over time eventually blocking thedishwasher drain hose spigot

Our appliances are supplied with asecurity device to protect againstthe return of dirty water back intothe machine. If the spigot of yoursink has a "no return valve" incor-porated this can prevent the correctdraining of your dishwasher. Wetherefore advise you to remove it.
