4Installation All internal packing must be removed before using

the appliance. Serious damage may be caused tothe machine or adjacent furniture if the protectivetransit devices are not removed or are notcompletely removed. Refer to the relevantparagraph in the instruction book.

Any electrical work required to install this appliancemust be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Any plumbing work required to install thisappliance must be carried out by a qualifiedplumber.

After having installed the machine, check that it isnot standing on its electrical supply cable.

If the appliance is placed on a carpeted floor,ensure that air can circulate freely between the feetand the floor.

Use This appliance is designed for domestic use. It

must not be used for purposes other than those forwhich it was designed.

Only wash and dry fabrics which are designed tobe machine washed and dried. Follow theinstructions on each garment label.

Do not overload the appliance. Follow theinstructions in the instruction book.

Make sure that all pockets are empty. Objects suchas coins, safety pins, pins and screws can causeextensive damage.

Do not machine wash garments saturated withpetroleum, methylated spirits, trichlorethylene, etc.If such fluids have been used to remove stainsprior to washing, wait until they have completelyevaporated from the fabric before placing garmentsin the appliance.

Place small items such as socks, belts, etc. in acloth bag or pillowcase to prevent them gettingtrapped between the drum and the tub.

If you use a liquid detergent with a dispenser whichhas to be placed directly in the drum, remember toremove this dispenser before drying.

Warnings

Use only the recommended quantities of fabricsoftener. An excessive amount could damage thelaundry.

Leave the porthole door slightly ajar when theappliance is not in use. This preserves the doorseal and prevents the formation of musty smells.

Always check that water has emptied out beforeopening the door. If not, drain the water followingthe instructions in the instruction book.

Always unplug the appliance and shut the watertap after use.

General safety Repairs to the machine must be carried out only by

qualified personnel. Repairs carried out byinexperienced persons could cause seriousdanger. Contact your local Service Centre.

Never pull the power supply cable to remove theplug from the socket; always take hold of the plugitself.

During high temperature wash programmes andduring the drying cycle the door glass may get hot.Do not touch it!

Installation

UnpackingAll transit bolts and packing must be removedbefore using the appliance.

You are advised to keep all transit devices so thatthey can be refitted if the machine ever has to betransported again.1. Using a spanner, unscrew and remove the rear

right-hand bolt and lay the machine on its back,taking care not to squash the hoses. This can beavoided by placing one of the corner packingpieces between the machine and the floor.

2. Remove the polystyrene block from the undersideof the machine and release the two plastic bags.

3. Carefully remove the right-hand bag (1) then the left-hand bag (2) by pulling them towards thecentre of the machine.

4. Set the machine upright and remove the two remaining bolts from the back.

5. Pull out the three plastic spacers from the holesinto which the bolts were fitted.

6. Plug the open holes with the plugs which aresupplied with the instruction booklet.

PositioningInstall the machine on a flat hard floor.Make sure that air circulation around the machine isnot impeded by carpets, rugs etc. Check that themachine does not touch the wall or other kitchen units.Carefully level by screwing the adjustable feet in orout. Never place cardboard, wood or similarmaterials under the machine to compensate for anyunevenness in the floor.

Water inletConnect the water inlet hose to a tap with a 3/4" thread.The inlet hose is provided with a water stop device,which protects against damage caused by water leaksin the hose which could develop due to natural ageingof the hose. This fault is shown by a red sector in thewindow A. Should this occur, turn the water tap offand refer to your Service Agent to replace the hose.

The other end of the inlet hose which connects to themachine can be turned in any direction. Simplyloosen the fitting, rotate the hose and retighten thefitting, making sure there are no water leaks

The inlet hose must not be lengthened. If it is tooshort and you do not wish to move the tap, you willhave to purchase a new, longer hose speciallydesigned for this type of use.

8Water drainageThe end of the drain hose can be positioned in threeways:Hooked over the edge of a sink using the plastichose guide supplied with the machine. In thiscase, make sure the end cannot come unhookedwhen the machine is emptying.This could be done by tying it to the tap with a pieceof string or attaching it to the wall.

In a sink drain pipe branch. This branch must beabove the trap so that the bend is at least 60 cmabove the ground.Directly into a drain pipe at a height of not lessthan 60 cm and not more than 90 cm.The end of the drain hose must always beventilated, i.e. the inside diameter of the drain pipemust be larger than the outside diameter of the drainhose.The drain hose must not be kinked. Run it along thefloor; only the part near the drainage point must beraised.

Electrical connectionThis machine is designed to operate on a 220-230 V,single-phase, 50 Hz supply.Check that your domestic electrical installation cantake the maximum load required (2.2 kW), alsotaking into account any other appliances in use.Connect the machine to an earthed socket.

This new machine, which is fitted with the Direct Spray system, patented Electrolux, meets all modern needsfor effective treatment of laundry with low water, energy and detergent consumption.Further savings are achieved by washing small loads of laundry, since water and electricity consumption isproportional to the quantity and type of laundry being washed. The programme selector dial combines the function of programme and temperature selection, making it

easier to set the programme. The programme progress display shows the programme steps selected and the programme phase which

is running. The special wool programme with its new delicate wash system treats your woollens with extreme care. The drying programmes will give your wash that soft, relaxed feel whatever the weather. The balance control device ensures the machine is stable during the spin.

Position E corresponds to the ENERGY SAVINGprogrammes and position to cold wash.At the end of the programme the selector dialmust be turned to position O.

Programme Option buttonsDepending on the programme, different functionscan be combined. These must be selected afterchoosing the desired programme and beforedepressing the START/PAUSE button.When these buttons are pressed, the correspondingpilot lights come on. When they are pressed again,the pilot lights go out.If an incorrect option is selected, the correspondingpilot light flashes for about 2 seconds and themessage Err is displayed.

5 Prewash button The machine performs a prewash cycle at 30C max.The prewash cycle ends with a short spin at 650 r.p.m.in programmes for Cotton and Synthetics, and withemptying of the water for Delicates.This option is not available with the wool programme.For use when washing heavily soiled laundry.

6 Spin speed button Press this button to reduce the maximum speed of thefinal spin proposed by the machine for the selectedprogramme or to select position (water in the tub).The light corresponding to the selected optionilluminates.

By selecting this option the last rinse water is notemptied out, to prevent the fabrics from creasing.When the programme has finished, the pilot light ofthe START/PAUSE button flashes to indicate thatthe water must be emptied out.To empty out water there are 3 possibilities: Select programme D (draining):

The water is emptied out without spinning.Attention! Before selecting programme D theselector dial has to be positioned on O (cancelling). Depress START/PAUSE button : after

emptying, the machine performs the spin cyclecorresponding to the type of fabric previouslyselected.

Select the spin speed by means of the relevantbutton and then depress the START/PAUSEbutton.

This option cannot be selected for the automaticWASHING & DRYING programme.

7 Quick wash button By pressing this button the washing time is reducedas follows: 53 minutes for cotton 95C 23 minutes for cotton 60C 72 minutes for cotton 40C and 30C 24 minutes for synthetics 8 minutes for delicatesThis option is not available with the wool programmeand the Energy saving programme.To be used for lightly soiled laundry.

Spin speed 8 Extra rinse button Can be used with all programmes except the woolprogramme. The machine performs 4 rinses insteadof 3.This option is recommended for people who areallergic to detergents and in areas where the water isvery soft.

9 Electronic Drying button By means of this button you can choose the requireddegree of drying for cottons and synthetics:

The corresponding pilot light illuminates.The drying time is automatically adjusted by themachine: the laundry will be dried to the selecteddegree of dryness.

10 Drying Time button If you wish to carry out a timed programme insteadof an electronic programme push the button until thedrying time you want appears in the displayaccording to the fabrics (cotton or synthetics) youhave to dry.For COTTON you can select a drying time from 10minutes to 130 minutes.For SYNTHETICS you can select a time from 10minutes to 100 minutes.

11 DELAY START button The wash programme can be delayed from 1 hourup to a maximum of 24 hours by means of thisbutton.

Switch the machine on by depressing the ON/OFFbutton .

Select the programme and the required options. Select the delay start. Depress START/PAUSE button : the machine

starts its hourly countdown.The programme will start after the selected delay hasexpired.

time is displayed.If you wish to cancel the delay, depress the button

only once: the symbol 0 h is displayed. Depress START/PAUSE button again.

12 DISPLAYThe display shows the following information:Cancelling - Duration of the programme - Dryingtime - Delayed start - Incorrect option selection -Alarm code.

If a programme has been cancelled - programmeselector dial on position O - three flashing dashesappear on the display.

Now you can select a new programme.

After selecting a programme, the duration isdisplayed in hours and minutes ( for example 2.05).

The duration is calculated automatically on the basis ofthe maximum recommended load for each type of fabric.After the programme has started, the time remainingis updated every minute.

The countdown is updated every hour.

If an option which is not compatible with the set washprogramme is selected, the message Err isdisplayed.

In the event of operating problems, some alarmcodes can be displayed, for example E20 (seeparagraph Something not working).

13 START/PAUSE button

This button has three functions:Start - Pause - Draining of water.

After having selected the required programme, pressthis button to start the machine; the correspondingpilot light stops flashing.If you have selected the delayed start, the machinebegins its countdown. The duration of theprogramme or the delay appears on the display.

To interrupt a programme which is running, depressthe Start/Pause button: the corresponding pilot lightstarts to flash.To restart the programme from the point at which itwas interrupted, press the START/PAUSE buttonagain.

End of programmeWhen the door locked light has gone out, the doorcan be opened. The light (END) on theprogramme progress display illuminates.A flashing zero appears on the display.Switch the machine off and remove the laundry.Turn the programme selector dial to O.

Altering a programmeYou can alter the programme before it starts.When the programme has started, you can onlyreset it by turning the programme selector dial to Oand then you can select the new programme.Start it by depressing the START/PAUSE button.

Interrupting a programmeDepress the START/PAUSE button to interrupt aprogramme which is running, the corresponding lightstarts to flash.

Cancelling a programmeTurn the selector dial to O to cancel a programmewhich is running: three flashing dashes appear onthe display. Now you can select a new programme.

Opening the door after the programmehas startedFirst set the machine to PAUSE by pressing theSTART/PAUSE button.The door can be opened when the door locked lighthas gone out.If the door does not open, this means that themachine is already heating or drying, that the waterlevel is above the bottom edge of the door or that thedrum is turning.During drying the door can be opened only the first10 minutes and at the end of drying (after the coolingphase).If you cannot open the door but you need to open ityou have to switch the machine off by depressing theON/OFF button . After about 3 minutes the doorcan be opened (pay attention to the water level andtemperature!). To restart the programme depressON/OFF button again after closing the door.

Programme information

Washing programme for machine washable wool aswell as for hand washable woollens and delicatefabrics with the hand washing care symbol.

Select this programme for heavily soiled laundry.Pour the detergent into the compartment .This programme is not suitable for wool.The machine performs a soak at 30C and stopswith the water in the drum. The water can beemptied out in 2 ways: Draining only by depressing the START/PAUSE

button. Draining and spin: turn the programme selector

dial to O, select programme F (spin), reduceeventually the spin speed by means of button and depress START/PAUSE button.

Important! If the water is not emptied out within 18 hours, the

machine empties automatically. At the end of the soak (after having emptied out

the water) you can select the washing programme.Turn first the programme selector dial to O, thenselect the programme and depress theSTART/PAUSE button.

With this programme it is possible to rinse and spingarments which have been washed by hand.The machine performs 3 rinses, followed by a finalspin at 1200 r.p.m. The spin speed can be reduced by depressingbutton .

Hand washed garments can be softened with thisprogramme.The machine performs 1 rinse, followed by a finalspin at the max. speed, which can be reduced bydepressing button .

For emptying out the water of the last rinse inprogrammes with the Anti-crease option.Turn first the programme selector dial to O, then selectprogramme D and depress the START/PAUSE button.

Washing hintsSorting the laundryFollow the wash code symbols on each garmentlabel and the manufacturers washing instructions.Sort the laundry as follows:whites, coloureds, synthetics, delicates, woollens.

Temperatures95 for normally soiled white cottons and linen

(e.g. tea cloths, towels, tablecloths,sheets...)

60 for normally soiled, colour fast garments(e.g. shirts, night dresses, pyjamas....) inlinen, cotton or synthetic fibres and forlightly soiled white cotton (e.g. underwear).

(cold)for delicate items (e.g. net curtains), mixed30-40 laundry including synthetic fibres and

woollens.

Before loading the laundryNever wash whites and coloureds together. Whitesmay lose their whiteness in the wash.New coloured items may run in the first wash; theyshould therefore be washed separately the first time.Make sure that no metal objects are left in thelaundry (e.g. hair clips, safety pins, pins).Button up pillowcases, close zip fasteners, hooksand poppers. Tie any belts or long tapes.Remove persistent stains before washing. Rubparticularly soiled areas with a special detergent ordetergent paste.Treat curtains with special care. Remove hooks or tiethem up in a bag or net.

Maximum loadsRecommended loads are indicated in theprogramme charts.General rules:Cotton, linen: drum full but not too tightly packed;Synthetics: drum no more than half full;Delicate fabrics and woollens: drum no more thanone third full.Washing a maximum load makes the most efficientuse of water and energy.For heavily soiled laundry, reduce the load size.

Removing stainsStubborn stains may not be removed by just waterand detergent. It is therefore advisable to treat themprior to washing.Blood: treat fresh stains with cold water. For driedstains, soak overnight in water with a specialdetergent then rub in the soap and water.Oil based paint: moisten with benzine stainremover, lay the garment on a soft cloth and dab thestain; treat several times.Dried grease stains: moisten with turpentine, laythe garment on a soft surface and dab the stain withthe fingertips and a cotton cloth.Rust: oxalic acid dissolved in hot water or a rustremoving product used cold. Be careful with ruststains which are not recent since the cellulosestructure will already have been damaged and thefabric tends to hole.Mould stains: treat with bleach, rinse well (whitesand fast coloureds only).Grass: soap lightly and treat with bleach (whites andfast coloureds only).Ball point pen and glue: moisten with acetone (*),lay the garment on a soft cloth and dab the stain.Lipstick: moisten with acetone as above, then treatstains with methylated spirits. Remove any residualmarks from white fabrics with bleach.Red wine: soak in water and detergent, rinse andtreat with acetic or citric acid, then rinse. Treat anyresidual marks with bleach.

LISHQuantity of detergent to be used

The type and quantity of detergent will depend onthe type of fabric, load size, degree of soiling andhardness of the water used.Water hardness is classified in so-called degrees ofhardness. Information on hardness of the water inyour area can be obtained from the relevant watersupply company, or from your local authority.Follow the product manufacturers instructions onquantities to use.Use less detergent if: you are washing a small load, the laundry is lightly soiled, large amounts of foam form during washing.

Degrees of water hardness

Ink: depending on the type of ink, moisten the fabricfirst with acetone (*), then with acetic acid; treat anyresidual marks on white fabrics with bleach and thenrinse thoroughly.Tar stains: first treat with stain remover, methylatedspirits or benzine, then rub with detergent paste.(*) do not use acetone on artificial silk.

Detergents and additivesGood washing results also depend on the choice ofdetergent and use of the correct quantities to avoidwaste and protect the environment. Althoughbiodegradable, detergents contain substanceswhich, in large quantities, can upset the delicatebalance of nature.The choice of detergent will depend on the type offabric (delicates, woollens, cottons, etc.), the colour,washing temperature and degree of soiling.All commonly available washing machine detergentsmay be used in this appliance: powder detergents for all types of fabric, powder detergents for delicate fabrics (60C max)

and woollens, liquid detergents, preferably for low temperature

wash programmes (60C max) for all types offabric, or special for woollens only.

The detergent and any additives must be placed inthe appropriate compartments of the dispenserdrawer before starting the wash programme.If using concentrated powder or liquid detergents, aprogramme without prewash must be selected.The washing machine incorporates a recirculationsystem which allows an optimal use of theconcentrated detergent.Pour liquid detergent into the dispenser drawercompartment marked just before starting theprogramme.Any fabric softener or starching additives must bepoured into the compartment marked beforestarting the wash programme.Follow the product manufacturers recommendationson quantities to use and do not exceed the MAXmark in the detergent dispenser drawer.

Drying hintsAs a dryer, the machine works on the condensationprinciple.Therefore, the water tap must be open and thedrain hose must drain water into a sink or intothe drain pipe, even during the drying cycle.

Load

Warning:Loads of washed laundry exceeding these valuesmust be divided before being dried, otherwisepoor results will be obtained.

Garments not suitable for drying Particularly delicate items such as synthetic

curtains, woollen and silk, garments with metalinserts, nylon stockings, bulky garments such asanoraks, bedcovers, quilts, sleeping bags andduvets must not be machine dried.

Garments padded with foam-rubber or materialssimilar to foam-rubber must not be machine dried;they represent a fire hazard.

Also, fabrics containing residues of setting lotionsor hair sprays, nail solvents or similar solutionsmust not be machine dried in order to avoid theformation of harmful vapours.

Drying symbols on garment labelsAlways look at the garment label to check whethergarments can be machine dried. The following symbols refer to drying:

Duration of the drying cycleThe drying time can vary according to the final spin speed; the required degree of drying (extra dry, store dry

Fibre residueAfter drying fluffy fabrics, such as new towels, it isadvisable to perform the rinse programme B to besure that any residue that may remain in the tub iscompletely removed and does not stick to garmentsdried afterwards.After each drying cycle the filter should bechecked and cleaned.

Additional dryingShould the laundry still be too wet at the end of theprogramme, set another short drying cycle.Warning! To prevent the formation of creases orshrinking of fabrics, avoid excessive drying.

4. Switch the machine onTo switch the machine on, press the ON/OFF button

: the mains-on light comes on.

If the programme selector dial is on the RESET Oposition, three flashing dashes will be displayed. Ifthe programme selector dial is positioned on a washprogramme, a flashing zero appears on the display.

5. Select the desired programmeTurn the programme selector dial to the desiredposition: the lights corresponding to the differentphases making up the selected programme light on.

The display shows the duration of the programme.

6. Select the spin speed or option Depress the spin speed button to choose therequired speed or option : the corresponding lightcomes on.

Operating sequenceWashing onlyBefore washing your first load of laundry, werecommend that you run a cotton cycle at 60C, withthe machine empty, in order to remove anymanufacturing residue from the drum and tub.Pour half a measure of detergent into the main washcompartment and start up the machine.

1. Place the laundry in the drumOpen the door.Place the laundry in the drum, one item at a time,shaking them out as much as possible.Close the door.

2. Measure out the detergentPull out the dispenser drawer until it stops. Measureout the amount of detergent recommended by themanufacturer in a graduated cup and pour it into themain wash compartment .If you wish to carry out the prewash, pour detergentinto the appropriate compartment marked .

3. Measure out the additiveIf required, pour fabric softener into the compartmentmarked , without exceeding the MAX mark.

9. Start the programmeTo start the selected programme, press theSTART/PAUSE button; the corresponding light stopsflashing.The pilot light corresponding to the wash phasewhich is running is on.The door light comes on to indicate that the door islocked.The machine starts operating.

10. At the end of the programmeThe machine stops automatically.If the anti-crease option has been selected, thelight of the START/PAUSE button flashes toindicate that the water must be emptied out beforeopening the door. A steadily lit zero appears on thedisplay.The door can only be opened after the door lockedlight has gone out. A flashing zero appears on thedisplay.Release of the lock is also indicated by the comingon of the light .Turn the programme selector dial to Reset O.Switch the machine off by pressing the ON/OFFbutton .Remove the laundry from the drum and carefullycheck that the drum is empty so as to avoid anyforgotten items being damaged in a subsequentwash (e.g. shrinking) or their colour running into aload of whites.If you do not intend to carry out another wash, closethe water tap.Leave the door open to prevent the formation ofmildew and unpleasant smells.

7. Select the required optionsThe light corresponding to the depressed buttonilluminates.

8. Select the DELAY START option To delay starting of a programme, press the DELAYSTART button. The corresponding light illuminates.The figures corresponding to the selected delay willbe displayed for about 4 seconds, after which theduration of the selected programme will appear onthe display.When the START/PAUSE button is pressed, theselected delay will again appear on the display andthe machine starts its countdown.

Drying onlyWarning! Do not exceed the maximum laundryloads:- 3 kg for linen and cottons- 2.0 kg for synthetics.The water tap must be open and the drain hose mustbe positioned in the sink or connected to the drainpipe.

1. Load the laundry2. Depress the ON/OFF button to switch the

machine on. 3. Select the drying programme (for cotton or

synthetics).4. Depress the DRYING TIME button until the

time you want appears in the display (for timeddrying). The corresponding light comes on.If you wish to carry out the electronic drying,depress button until the pilot lightcorresponding to the degree of dryness requiredilluminates.

5. Press the START/PAUSE button to start theprogramme.

6. At the end of the cycle, turn the programmeselector dial to RESET O and press the ON/OFFbutton again to switch the appliance off.

7. Remove the laundry.

Automatic washing and drying (NON-STOP programme)Warning! For NON-STOP programmes, it is alsoessential not to exceed the maximum load sizes of 3 kg for cotton and 2 kg for synthetics.

1. Load the laundry.2. Add detergent and additive.3. Switch the machine on by depressing the

ON/OFF button .4. Select the wash programme.5. Select eventually the required options by means

of the relevant buttons. If possible, do not select aspin speed lower than that proposed by theappliance to avoid a too long drying time sosaving energy.In any case the reduction of the spin speed isonly possible after selecting drying. The lowestvalues you can select are the following:- 900 r.p.m. for cottons & synthetics with

electronic drying- 900 r.p.m. for cottons and 700 r.p.m. for

synthetics with timed drying6. Select the drying time or degree of drying.7. Start the programme by depressing the

START/PAUSE button.8. At the end of the programme, turn the selector

dial to RESET O and press the ON/OFF buttonagain to switch the machine off.

9. Remove the laundry.

1. BodyworkClean the outside of the machine with warm waterand a detergent used to handwash dishes. Rinsewith clean water and dry with a soft cloth.Important: do not use methylated spirits, solvents orsimilar products to clean the bodywork.

2. Detergent dispenser drawerAfter a while, detergents and fabric softeners leavedeposits in the drawer.Clean the drawer from time to time by rinsing it undera running tap. To remove the drawer from themachine, press the button in the rear left-handcorner.

To facilitate cleaning, the top part of the additivecompartments can be removed.

Detergent can also accumulate inside the drawerrecess: clean it with an old toothbrush. Refit thedrawer after cleaning.

3. Drain filterThe drain filter collects threads and small objectsinadvertently left in the laundry. Check regularly thatthe filter is clean.Open the filter door.Place a container under the filter and unscrew it.

Pull out the filter.Clean the filter under a running tap, then refit it,screwing it fully in.

4. Water inlet filterIf you notice that the machine is taking longer to fill,check that the filter in the water inlet hose is notblocked.Turn off the water tap.Unscrew the hose from the tap.Clean the filter with a stiff brush.Screw the hose back onto the tap.

5. Emergency emptying outIf the water is not discharged (outlet pump isblocked, filter or drain hose are clogged), proceed asfollows to empty out the machine: pull out the plug from the power socket; close the water tap; if necessary, wait until the water has cooled down; place a bowl on the floor under the filter; slightly loosen the filter to let the water come out

slowly; at the end screw the filter again.

6. Frost precautionsIf the machine is installed in a place where thetemperature could drop below 0C, proceed asfollows: Close the water tap and unscrew the water inlet

hose from the tap. Place the end of the drain hose and that of the inlet

hose in a bowl placed on the floor. Select programme D (draining) and run it until the

machine stops. Turn the programme selector dial to O. Switch the machine OFF by depressing button . Screw the water inlet hose back on and put the

drain hose back in its place.By doing this, any water remaining in the machine isremoved, avoiding the formation of ice and,consequently, breakage of the affected parts.When you use the machine again, make sure thatthe ambient temperature is above 0C.

Something not working?

There is water on the floor: Too much detergent or unsuitable detergent(creates too much foam) has been used. Check whether there are any leaks from one of the

inlet hose fittings. It is not always easy to see thisas the water runs down the hose; check to see if itis damp.

The drain hose is damaged. Unsatisfactory washing results: Too little detergent or unsuitable detergent hasbeen used.

Stubborn stains have not been treated prior towashing.

The correct temperature was not selected. Excessive laundry load.

The machine vibrates or isnoisy:

The transit bolts and packing have not beenremoved.

The support feet have not been adjusted. The laundry is not evenly distributed in the drum. Maybe there is very little laundry in the drum.

The door will not open: The water level is above the bottom edge of the door. The machine is heating the water or drying clothes. The drum is turning.The door can only be opened when the relevantlight has gone out.

Problems which you can resolve yourself.During machine operation it is possible that one of the following alarm codes appears on the display:- E10 : problem with the water supply- E20 : problem with water draining- E40 : door openOnce the problem has been eliminated, press the START/PAUSE button to restart the programme. If afterall checks, the problem persists, contact your local Service Centre.

Water is notvisible in the machine. The machine,

which is the result of modern technology, runsin a very economical way with low water

consumption. Performance isnevertheless excellent.

Problem Possible cause Spinning starts late or the

laundry is not spun enough:

The machine will not dry or thelaundry is not dry enough

The electronic unbalance detection device has cutin because the laundry is not evenly distributed inthe drum. The laundry is redistributed by reverserotation of the drum. This may happen severaltimes before the unbalance disappears and normalspinning can resume. If, after 15 minutes, thelaundry is still not evenly distributed in the drum,the machine will spin at a lower speed. If at the endof the programme the laundry is not spun enough,redistribute the load manually and select the spinprogramme.

The water tap is closed (E10). The drain filter is clogged (E20). The drying time or degree of dryness has not been

selected. An appropriate drying time has not been chosen. There is too much laundry inside the appliance.

The machine makes an unusualnoise. The machine is fitted with a commutator

motor which improves machine performance.
