Introduction
• GTE has different research lines with 24 researchers of the
Electronic Technology Area, 12 of which are PhDs.
• It was created in the late 80s inside the School of Engineering
and its profile was purely Industrial & Power electronics-
orientated.
• In the early 90s some actions and European projects
encouraged them to tackle the industrial and power research
lines applications to renewable energies, efficiency and
energetic quality.
• The aeronautical research line has gained a great importance
since 2002, thanks to the creation of the studies in
Aeronautical Engineering and to the R&D projects.
• Solid collaborative relationship with aeronautics industry.
Capabilities
Advanced knowledge in electronics technologies
applied to Aeronautical industry.
Technological lines:
– Power electronics systems for aeronautical applications.
– Avionics.
– Navigation, communication systems and data buses.
– Miniaturization and modernization of electronic systems.
– Software/Hardware technical support for design,
development and maintenance of boarded and ground
equipment, test benches and avionics simulators.
– Diagnosis and prognosis techniques for failure detection of
actuators and other test systems.
We want to provide to Clean Sky 2:
New electronics technologies. Avionics and power electronics.
Advanced control techniques and modulation algorithms for reducing power consumption, power losses, electromagnetic interferences, size, weight and cost of the on board systems and electronics systems.
Robust, compact, efficient systems.
