Elena is a very famous world record holder in pole vaulting.

Brief biography Elena Isinbayeva was born on June 3, 1982

in Volgograd. Elena has got a younger sister called

Inessa. Elena and Inessa began to engage in sports

since childhood. But only Elena became the famous athlete.

In 1989 she entered the engineering-technical high school, which graduated in 1997.

From 1998 to 2000 she studied at the College of Olympic reserve (MFR).

From 2002 to 2005 she studied at the Volgograd State Academy of physical culture and sport, after which received the diploma of the teacher of physical culture.

Her sports career began in 1987. Elena was engaged in artistic gymnastics. Her coaches were Alexander Ivanovich and Marina Mikhailovna Lizovyh.

In 1997 she received the title of master of sports in rhythmic gymnastics.

In November 1997, Elena started jumping with pole coach Evgeny Vasilievich Trofimov.

Now her coach is V.A. Petrov. She is involved with philosophy and gathers a

collection of dolphins.

Secret of Elena Now Elena has got her own tactics-jumping

competitions. She divides three jumps on planned heights:

the warm-up, winning and recording. Elena has got individual pole for each hop. The individuality of each pole is the color of

the winding. The first jump is with the warm-up height

pink winding pole. The second one is with a winning height - blue color. Elena chose Golden color for setting up of new records.

Awards Elena Isinbayeva has won 28 world records! She was the first in the world in 2005 to clear

the height of 5 meters! Elena Isinbayeva is the Honorary citizen of

Donetsk. Elena Isinbayeva is the best sportswoman of

the year 2007. Elena Isinbayeva is our best

Russian star!
