� In 2011-2012, agriculture employed 70% of the country’s work forcei but only contributed to 13% of the GDP.
� The average size of agricultural land holdings has decreased from 2.3 hectares in 1971 to 1.2 hectares in 2011.ii
� 80% of all farmers in the country are small or marginal farmers operating on a little over 40% of all cultivable land in the country.
� The agricultural productivity of China in corn, rice and paddy is twice that of India’s.iii
� 40% of all fruits and vegetables produced in India perish due to shortage of storage facilities.iv

1.IF CONTRACTOR DOES NOT WORK EFFECTIVELY,HE/SHE WILL BE EXPELLED FROM THE JOB.
2.AFTER ONE YEAR IT WILL BECOME SELF-
MERGE IT WITH THE PRESENT AGRICULTURE SCENARIO.
3.WILL TAKE TIME TO SETTLE AND PRODUCE RESULTS.
4.EXTRA BUDGET REQUIRED TO IMPLEMENT IT.
WILL BECOME SELF-FUNDED SYSTEM.
MONITORING SYSTEMSALIENT FEATURES OF CONTRACTOR
1.Contractor will maintain data of his/her (input, output, storage) own land surroundins. This will be helpful for future generations.
