THE CONTAINER…………..
• The Certificate of approval is issued only to approved road vehicles
• Road vehicles are produced every two years, for the inspection and
renewal of approval, to the competent authorities
• If the vehicle no longer complies with the technical conditions, it
should, before it can be used for the transport of goods under cover of
TIR carnets, be restored to the condition which had justified its
approval
• If the essential characteristics are changed, it should be re-approved
by the competent authority before it can be used for the transport of
goods under cover the TIR carnets
GENERAL PROVISIONS
• The sample in the Annex 4
• Format A3, folded in two
• Printed in the language of the country of issue and in French or English
• Whenever photographs or diagrams, authenticated by the authority,
need to be attached to the Certificate of Approval, the number is
indicated by the competent authority under point 6 of Certificate
• In cases where more than one customs seal is required for customs
secure sealing, the number of such seals is indicated under item 5
• Original should be kept on the road vehicle

PROCEDURE
Every two years the road vehicles are produced for purposes of
inspection and renewal of approval to the competent customs
office in the area of vehicle registration
At the present time – paper application
At the end of the year 2013 – electronic submission of the

Holder
No goods can be removed from or introduce into the sealed part of the vehicle without leaving obvious traces of tampering or without breaking the Customs seal
Customs seals can be simply and effectively affixed to them
They contain no concealed spaces where goods may be hidden
All spaces capable of holding goods are readily accessible for Customs inspection
