MOLE
Mole Magazine is a student-run publication intended to explore and dissect a selected theme per issue.
We ask international architects and designers to submit their related work, hoping to expose unconsidered connotations and understandings of the theme.
The inaugural issue to the right is a collection of micro-design ideas: Cute Little Things.

Scene IV - The Creation
i) Inspection
The Corpses enter. They lift the veil. Then they lie down onstage in a 3 person by 3 person grid.
[VEIL UP]
[cue mist][Enter Memory Victor]
MV turns on the Machine, this is timed with the projection stopping and the Machine audio track starting.
MV walks slowly over the bodies, peering at them and prodding their limbs. As MV selects certain corpses, their limbs remain raised, signifying their selecton for assembly.
MA: Be happy my dear Victor. There is, I hope, nothing to distress you.
MA: What is it that agitates you, my dear Victor? What is it you fear?
MA: My dear Frankenstein, I did not before remark how ill you appear; so thin and pale; you look as if you had been watching for several nights.
Lightning flashes, MV realizes that it is time to start building his monster. He walks to the machine.
[Exit Corpses in unison with lightning flashes]

VS/VS/VS
[00:04:15]
[EA] So, tell me about the name.
[VS] To be honest, we just kind of chose it. Thought it looked cool.
[EA] Pronounciation?
[VS] Versus. Versus. Versus.
[EA] Against what? Where is this oppostition coming from?
[VS] In the art world, lots of places. The artist versus the artist. Artists vesus society. vs/vs/vs. No font, no size, no logo. [00:04:58]
The VS/VS/VS study was an investigation in forms of non-traditional domestic space.
My team and I expressed the unique living space of this artist’s colllective though essays, interviews, drawings, and, as seen on the next page, collage.
Completed in collaboration with: Maighdlyn Hadley, Jake Read, Clara Syme, and Edward Wang.

“It’s a kind of organic, impulsive design. We tape spaces off. Then we build them.”

MONUMENT
A charred wooden block consturction, both tectonic and monolithic, gives new interpretation to the sheer cliff walls surrounding it. Built in collaboration with: Maighdlyn Hadley, Thomas Mahon, Clara Syme, Edward Wang, and Miriam Wierzchoslawska.
