Why is biodiversity important?
The two main areas where the effect of biodiversity on ecosystemfunction have been studied are the relationship between diversityand productivity, and the relationship between diversity andcommunity stability.
More biologically diverse communities appear to be more productive
than are less diverse communities. This makes sense since highbiodiversity means there are many different organisms able tooccupy many different niches all in the same ecosystem.
More biologically diverse communities also appear to be morestable in the face of environmental pressures as well. When manydifferent organisms live in an area, there is a better chance that atleast one of them will be able to survive in the area if theenvironment changes dramatically.

e s ng r p was .
The fishing trip was fun because of getting
to catch fish. But it was also boring
because of needing to wait for a fish to
bite on the bait. Plus it was hot and cold
depending were you stud at the pond.

When we were done with the
Fish
When we were done measuring the fish we
put the fish back into the pond. By gently
sliding the fish into the water. NEVER
throw a fish in the air because the fishs
nerves system will get damaged. And
sometimes the fish can die because of it
getting thrown up into the air.
