HOUSE COMMITTEE REPORT
June was a very busy month. Our thanks to everyonewho volunteered their time to make our lodge eventsso successful, especially with our East Central DistrictVice President's Visitation dinner.
There are a few July events I would like to mention. The Fourth of July falls on a Friday night this year, soin place of our regular menu we will be serving achicken and BBQ rib dinner from 1 to 5 pm with musicstarting at 2 pm. We will not be serving our regularFriday menu; this will allow everyone to enjoy the holiday and fireworks. Our monthly, All-U-Can-Eat$5.00 breakfast will continue through the summer; thismonth the breakfast will be served on July 6th from 9 am to 12 pm. There will be a fun New Orleans Convention party in the lounge on July 12th starting at4 pm for those of us not going to the Convention inNew Orleans.
Other great news, Hot Damn has volunteered theirtime to play music for us on three Wednesdays thissummer....July 16th and 30th, and again on August20th.
Please remember, your comments and suggestionsare always welcome.
Jackie Curtis, PERActing House Committee Chairman

ENF REPORT
The Florida State Elks National Foundation grantfunds are an integral part of our lodge’s ability toprovide our community with programs and activities during the Year. Did you know, last yearour lodge received $6,000 in ENF grant funds. These funds were used to sponsor a special needsbowling team, a veterans appreciation luncheon, the purchase of gift cards for the residents of theDaytona Beach Emery L. Bennett Nursing Home, and for toys, for our annual children’s Christmasparty. So far this year, we received $4,000 and weare expected to receive another $2,000 in matching grant funds. Please give some thoughtto making a donation to ENF, whether it’s a onetime or reoccurring monthly donation of $10,all donations add up and help make a difference.
Fraternally,Karen GleasonENF Chairperson
At the recent Elks State Convention in Orlando at the Coronado Springs Hotel, thelodge was awarded an “Honorable Mention”plaque for the Bellows bulletin. Of theseventy participating lodges in our state,we came in fourth. It’s something to beproud of.
