Elmira used 24 points from both Neil Ran- dolph ’15 and Justin Henderson ’16 to defeat previously-unbeaten Clarkson University, 76-68 in overtime, before falling to St. Lawrence University the following day. THE MARKSMAN Justin Henderson ’16 put on one of the best shooting displays any Elmira College men’s basketball player has ever had against Clarkson on Friday, December 5th. Henderson made 8-of-10 from three-point range, including a perfect 7-of-7 from behind the arc in regulation. The eight made three-pointers matches the most successful three- point attempts in a single game by an individual player in the last 14 years. That occurred last season when Josh Keys ’14 went 8-of-14 from three-point range against Morrisville State. RANDOLPH SETTLING IN Neil Randolph ’15 entered EC’s road-trip to North Country leading the team with 11.3 points per game, however, he was shooting just 30.4 percent from the field and 26.3 percent from behind the arc. In the two games against Clarkson and St. Lawrence, Randolph averaged an efficient 17.5 points per game, shooting 68.4 percent (13-of-19) from the field and 70 percent (7-of-10) from three-point range. Ran- dolph increased his scoring average to 13.8 and his shooting percent- ages to 41.5 on field goals and 41.4 on three-pointers. HENDERSON FROM THREE Justin Henderson ’16 totaled 11 three-pointers made over the week- end trip to North Country, shooting 64.7 percent from distance in the games against Clarkson and St. Lawrence. Overall, Henderson is 18-of- 33 from beyond the arc in 2014-15, shooting at an impressive 54.5 clip. A Split in north CountryEC took a trip to North Country before the holiday break and came away with a 1-1 record. elMirA froM doWntoWnThanks, in part, to Justin Henderson ’16 and Neil Randolph ’15, the Soaring Eagles lead the Empire 8 Conference in made three-pointers per game and rank second in three-point percentage. The Purple and Gold average nine made three-pointers per game and are shooting at a 37.5 percent clip, just 0.4 percent behind conference-leaders Alfred University.

leonArdi getS the CAllWith Oladapo Badmos ’17 hampered by an injury, Gino Leonardi ’16 earned the first two starts of his career against Clarkson and St. Lawrence. The junior guard averaged 10.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists during the road trip, while also playing an average of 34.5 minutes per game. In EC’s overtime victory over Clarkson, Leonardi turned in a 12-point, seven-rebound, five-assist performance while playing 42 of a possible 45 minutes.

MCdonAld AS the plAyMAkerBrian McDonald ’15, after missing the opening weekend due to injury, has started each of the last three games for the Purple and Gold. Mc-Donald is averaging just 4.3 points and 2.7 rebounds per game, but he is contributing in another way on offense, averaging a career-high 4.0 assists per game.

All-tiMe vS. WAShington & leeEC’s first game at the Washington & Lee University Tournament, against Washington & Lee, will mark the third meeting between the institutions all-time. The Soaring Eagles and the Generals split the previous two matchups.

SCouting WAShington & leeThe Generals enter their Tournament on a seven-game losing streak, drop-ping their overall record to 2-7. Andrew Franz leads the way for Washing-ton & Lee, averaging 14.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. Behind Franz in the scoring column is Clayton Murtha, who is averaging 11.8 points per game in his rookie season.

A progrAM firStNo matter who Elmira plays in the second game of the Washington & Lee University Tournament, it will be an institution that EC has never played before. Tuesday’s matchup against either Centre College or Johns Hopkins University will mark the first meeting with both teams.

SCouting CentreThe 13th nationally-ranked Centre College Colonels enter the Washing-ton & Lee Tournament with a perfect 8-0 record, with six of their eight wins coming by double-figures. Josh Karsner and Blake Scinta lead the way for the Colonels, scoring 19.5 and 19.0 points per game, respectively, while Matt Gump rounds out the double-digit scorers at 10.4 points per game.

SCouting JohnS hopkinSJohns Hopkins University enters the Tournament with a 5-2 overall re-cord. The Blue Jays have three players in double-figure scoring, Jimmy Hammer at 16.6 points per game, George Bugarinovic at 12.4 points per game, and Ryan Curran at 11.5 points per game. Bugarinovic also leads the team with 6.9 rebounds per game.
