• Library staff allocated time for research ~ Tried newer browsers with RSS facilities built-in - if website offers RSS can create constantly updated list

• Sharing online learning ~ can share feeds through social networking sites, etc

• Digital repository ~ Using Spydus as PDF repository for research material. Students & staff access from Online Campus or Intranet. - do not have to search

• All of the following are possible: – Send RSS feeds to email or phone or IM– Forward emails to RSS feed– Print RSS feeds to PDF – create a newspaper through Feed journal– Add RSS feeds to website– Merge RSS feeds using FeedBlendr/FeeDor – Combine multiples RSS and atom feeds into one– Merge video feeds and podcasts into one– Monitor feeds for keywords withZapTXT – get new article alerts– SpokenText converts feeds to speech - subscribe as podcasts– Combine RSS feeds with RSSMixer– Filter with AideRSS to filter out less popular material
