Seggebruch was taken into custody on January 9 after his probation was revoked. In December 2016, Seggebruch was sentenced to three yearsprobation for making false statements to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, after he under-reported bushels of corn produced in a federal crop insurance claim. As part of his probation, Seggebruch was banned from participating in USDA programs and was to pay $300,759 to Heartland Crop Insurance. According to printed reports, Seggebruch admitted violating his probation by participating in the Federal Crop Insurance program through Sega Ag Production, Inc., owned by his sister; taking out a $64,981 loan to purchase a Ford Super Duty truck without prior approv- al from the U.S. Probation Office; violating a state order of protection against him obtained by his wife; and fail- ing to notify his probation officer of his November 27, 2019 arrest for violating the order of protection. From the Blotter No tickets or injuries were reported in a three-vehicle accident at 6:44 p.m. Wednesday at South First Ave. and West Orange. Police said Robert J. Moore, 83, of Rossville, was east- bound in a 2017 Chevrolet Impala. He stopped behind a 2011 Buick utility vehicle, driven by Kathleen Vines, 52, of Hoopeston, who was waiting for a train to pass. Moore meant to hit his brake but hit the gas pedal, striking Vinesvehicle in the rear and sending it into a 2015 Ford utility vehicle, driven by Leslie Hardcastle, 58, also of Hoopeston. A furnace is considered to be non-functional when it cannot emit any heat due to a mechanical issue. A fur- nace is considered to be a health hazard if it cannot be safely operated due to the risk of a carbon monoxide leak. Since it is a part of LIHEAP, it is available to LIHEAP- eligible families that own their home and are in good standing. Applicants must reside within the home that the furnace is located. If repair costs exceeds 50 percent of the cost of the furnace, replacement of the furnace will be considered.
