Steps to embed a dashboard into Cafe One:

1. Add parameter(s) to your dashboard so it can be hooked up to a JDE application: Every parameter in a dashboard can be set on the portal URL of the dashboard. For example, the above parameter can be passed to a dashboard using this example URL: http://{mobiePortal}/-Sales%20Map%20for%20Customer?CustomerABNum=4242 where {mobiePortal} is your specific mobie server page (e.g. acme.com/mobie). Example: http://acme.com/mobie/Sales%20Map%20for%20Customer?-CustomerABNum=4242

2. Use that parameter in the dashboard-level filtering on the Data Source tab (while set to use data from 'Reports'). This will filter the entire dashboard to the value of the parameter. Optionally, you could use the filtering in specific control filtering as well.

6. Copy an example URL from the mobie portal and paste it in the Cafe One component. Note the additional HideMenu parameter. HideMenu is used so that the mobie menu is not available to the user when viewing this dashboard within E1. Example: http://acme.com/mobie/-Sales%20Map%20for%20Customer?CustomerAB-Num=4242&HideMenu=True

7. Select the 'Dynamic Link' option. Find the custom dashboard parameter you created and change the operation to 'is mapped to'. From there, link a JDE control from the JDE application to this new parameter.

8. Save the component to test the component

9. Save the layout to create a personal custom layout. This dashboard is now available for this user when running this application.

10. If this user has been authorized to share layouts, the layout can then be shared by using the user overrides application. See Oracle's Cafe One Administration documentation for more information. From the fast path, run P98950 from the fast path.

11. Search for the form with the new layout. Select the layout and copy it to other users, groups, or everyone (*PUBLIC)

12. You have now successfully created a Cafe One layout with a mobie dashboard and shared it other employees in the company.
