Our consultants worked with Nethergate special school in Nottingham to support the staff in establishing a new culture of e-confidence. Consultants were involved in a wide range of activities to help the school move forward:

Cost Model One - £1,050
A school is seeking to develop its e-safety policies and procedures.
Aninitialplanningmeetingidentifiesthatstaffandstudentinputisimportanttotheschool,andastrategyisagreed.
Day one isspentworkingwithstudentrepresentativestodevelopideasforanacceptableusepolicyfollowedbyastaffmeetingtoraiseawarenessofe-safetyissuesandshareopinions.
Day two Theconsultantpresentsaseriesofassemblieswiththestudentsandmeetswithdepartmentalgroups.Theconsultantpreparespoliciesandproceduresoff-sitebasedonstaffandstudentinput.
Day three Thereisasecondstaffmeetingandahand-overmeetingwithSLTtosignoffandsignposttoextrasupportandresources.
Outcome: School establishes effective e-safety policies and procedures which has active buy-in from staff and students.

Aninitialplanningmeetingidentifiesthefocusfordevelopment,equipmenttobeused,trainingrequirementsandtheteachers/classeswhowillbeinvolved.Theconsultantpreparessessionsandanynecessaryresourcesoffsite.
Day one isspentworkingalongsidetheclassteacher(s).Theconsultantleadsthesessionsandmodelssuccessfuluseofchosenmediawithintheagreedframework.
Day two Theconsultantdevelopstheworkdoneondayoneandworkswithadditionalteachersandtheirclasses.Theconsultantanalysesthestudentworkoffsite.
Day three Theconsultantmeetstheteachersandleadsameetinglookingatexistingcurriculumdocumentationandhowitcanbechangedtoreflectthetechnologies.Schemesofworkareredraftedtoreflectthis.

Theinitialplanningmeetingidentifiesthatpreviouseffortsat‘wholestafftraining’havebeenunsuccessful,soafaculty-basedmodelisagreed.
Days one and twoConsultantsmeetwithindividualfacultyheadstoauditstaffrequirements.Consultantsthenattendfacultymeetingstodiscussroutestoprogress.
Days three to fiveFacultybasedtrainingsessionsaredelivered,withexistingstaffskillssharedandrecognised.Videohelpguidesareuploadedforstaffuseontothelearningplatform.Telephoneande-mailsupportarrangementsarepublicisedtostaff.
Day six Progressisevaluatedandsupportarrangementsadjustedasrequired.Surgeriesforindividualstaff.Handoverdocumentwithrecommendations.
Outcome: Evaluation shows increasingly confident use of new technology in the classroom and improved student engagement.
