Just The Facts

Wireless providers will need to agree to send the emergency

alerts in your geographical area.

Ask your cell phone provider if they will be participating in

CMAS/WEA. If they are not participating, you have the right

to end your contract with them and seek a new provider.

Just The Facts

You will only receive a CMAS/WEA alert if your cell phone is located

within a geographic area designated to receive a specific

CMAS/WEA alert.

A CMAS/WEA alert will not provide all the information that you may

need. You will need to seek more information by radio, TV,

computer, or other trusted sources.
