INTRODUCTION
MAJOR EMERGENCYDEFINITION:
A major emergency is an accident which can
cause serious injury, death and extensive damage
to property or serious disruption of work.
The purpose of an emergency plan is to ensure
that plans exists and are known to all personnel
on how to; localize an emergency and if possibleeliminate it, minimize its effect on personnel,
property and the environment.
