To save a custom view, set your filters then click the View button at the bottom of the dashboard
INDIANA UNIVERSITY
Enter a name for your saved view.
The “Make it my default” checkbox will load this view every time you load this dashboard.
The “Make visible to others” checkbox will display your view for other users in their Other Views section below.
Click “Save” after naming your view.

Once saved, you can click the View button and select the name of your view from “My Views” to automatically reload it.
Options to change the name of your saved views, delete them or change their public/private settings are available under Manage Views

Export Results to Excel
Start by clicking once somewhere (anywhere) in the data you want to export. This tells Tableau where on the page you want to export from.
Then click “Download” at the bottom
INDIANA UNIVERSITY
Select “Crosstab” from the download menu that appears.
A Download Crosstab window appears, with the correct sheet already selected (this is why we started by clicking once in the report we wanted to export)
Just click the Download button.
A .csv file will be downloaded by your browser that can be opened in Excel.
