Job satisfaction is the collection of tasks and responsibilities regularly assigned to one person, while a job is a group of positions, which involves essentially the same duties, responsibility, skill and knowledge.

Job satisfaction increases employee’s morale, productivity, etc.

Job satisfaction creates innovative ideas among the employees. Individuals may become more loyal towards the organization. Employees will be more satisfied if they get what they expected, job satisfaction relates to inner feelings of workers.

Castor is cultivated around the world because of the commercial importance of its oil. India is the world’s largest producer of castor seed and meets most of the global demand for castor oil. India produces 8 to 8.5 Lakh tonnes(2013) of castor seed annually, and accounting for more than 60 percent of the entire global production.

Castor is an important non‐edible oilseed crop and is grown especially in arid and semi arid region. It is cultivated in different countries on commercial scale, of which India, China and Brazil is major castor growing countries accounting for 90 percent of the world’s production.

Castor is cultivated in 30 different countries on commercial scale, of which India, China and Brazil is the major castor growing countries accounting for 90 per cent of the world’s production. Historically, Brazil, China and India have been the key producing countries meeting global requirement

India is the leader in global castor production and dominates in international castor oil trade. Gujarat is the chief producing state, having a share of 77-80% of domestic production, followed by Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan. Bag packed of castor seed contains 75kg by weight.

Gujarat is largest producer of castor seed in the country and contributes 75% in total domestic output. Other major producing states are Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh. It is cultivated under rain fed as well as irrigation conditions. The production has averaged at 11.3 lakh tonnes in last eight years. The highest output was in 2011-12 that is 15.76 lakh tonnes. It is a long duration crop, where sowing starts in July-Aug and harvested in Feb-Mar. The production failed to see major jump despite rising demand from export market for its products that resulted in rising prices.

3. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Banaskantha was one among the twenty-six districts of the Gujarat state of India.

The district was located in the Northeast of Gujarat. The Palanpur was the district head quarter of Banaskantha

district. The major crops during Kharif, Rabi and Summer are: Castor,

Bajra, Groundnut, Guar, Maize, Vegetable, Wheat, Mustard, Isabgol, Cumin, Amaranthus (rajgara) and Summer Bajra.

Also it is the seat of the biggest co-operative sector industry and largest dairy called Banas Dairy.

The area under fruit crops particularly pomegranate, papaya, anola is increasing.

Primary data :-The primary data forms an important component of any research investigation. The primary data were collected from the respondents by through a structured questionnaire, observation, and discussion with employees and management.

Secondary data :-Secondary data is data that has already been collected and analyzed by someone else for a different purpose. Here the secondary data was data collected from the company’s brochures, website, PDF and articles. For this purpose the secondary source data published by socio economic review from district profile booklet and statistics department government of Gujarat was used.

Selection of the district :-Multistage sampling technique were used in research methodology. The Bhanaskantha has purposively selected for research.

Selection of taluka :-In the second stage, it was proposed to select Palanpur taluka in Banaskantha district. In Palanpur taluka many companies are there and most of the people are depend on job. So Palanpur taluka was purposively selected.

Selection of company :-For the study Shivam was selected because it is very emerging company they have good prestige in market and currently undergoing for continues expansion.

In the Shivam total strength of employees is 127 and out of total 50 employees was selected. In the study randomly selected employees.

• Various statistical tools such as frequency, tabular analysis

etc., were adopted for data analysis procedure. With help of

MS-Excel, the data was analyzed and charts, diagram,

tables etc., are prepared to the present the data in

comprehensive manner.

It can say that the 48 percent employees have more than 4 years experience, 32 percent employees’ have 2 or 4 years experience and only 20 percent employees have 0-2 years experience. So this table shows the company have experience workers because Shivam provide good facility like safety measures and also provide fringe benefit.

It is concluding that Shivam arrange training programme. But the employees said company are arranging only once times in the year. The employees are not satisfied. So the Shivam arrange training programme more time because training through improve experience and met new knowledge.

It can be revealed that all employees are share experience to help each other. This is good to the employees because the employees have many year experiences with Shivam. So the employees to employees’ relation are good that the share.

It is concluding that the 12 percent employees said very good working condition, 46 percent employees said good working condition, 38 percent are said average and only 4 percent employees are said poor working condition. So this table shows the company have good working condition and employees are comfortable with their working condition.

It is concluding that Maximum numbers of employees are not satisfied with the welfare facilities. So this table conclude that the organizations are improved welfare facilities such as canteen, rest room facilities, transportation, medical, and quarter facilities.

It is concluding that Maximum numbers of employees are satisfied with the salary allowances and offers provided by organization according their work. So this table shows that Shivam is giving good salaries according their work.

Employees having the work according their qualification and skill.

In matter of training Shivam provide training but for the new comer employees because it reveled on the basis of the employees view.

Many employees are satisfied with the physical working conditions, the Shivam pay concentration on working condition.

Employees are not satisfied with the welfare facilities because the Shivam is not provide other facility like canteen, restroom, transportation, etc.

The Shivam pays satisfactory salary to all employees and for that reasons 100 percent employees satisfied with salary provided by Shivam.

Employee job satisfaction can improve service quality and increase employee satisfaction. Employee satisfaction plays a vital role in every organization. A quality and productivity of manpower depends on the Employee satisfaction by the organization. Employee job satisfaction can improve service quality and increase employee satisfaction. Employee satisfaction plays a vital role in every organization. Any organization success and growth depends on employees. We can increase the employee salary and compensation to motivate the employee, the good pay back can be one of the key factors affecting job satisfaction, also in this way one can increase the service quality and organizational performance. Finally I would like to conclude that the employees of Shivam are satisfied with their work and organization.

The majority of the employees are satisfied with present job. Employees are satisfied with offerings at Shivam. The majority of the employees are satisfied with Physical working

conditions at Shivam. The 96 percent employees are satisfied with working hours at

Shivam. The facility like loan and advances, staff product purchase,

provided by the company are good. Providing birthday gift to the employee is good. Most of the respondents showed their satisfaction towards safety

measures provided by the company is very good. The majority employees regarding overall job satisfaction towards

Shivam the response is satisfied.

After interpreting and analyzing the information collected by the survey, we want to give some suggestions to the organisation for better development.

Maximum number of employees is not satisfied welfare facilities that the Shivam improve welfare facilities such as Medical, Quarter, Transportation, Rest room & Canteen.

Provision of reasonable wages plays an important role in improving the standard of living. This single factor is important for a worker than any other. So, the company must provide adequate wages to the workers.

Extra hours worked can be rewarded with over time. Proper care should be taken when employee working in dangerous

machine. The facility of washroom must be improved.
