the strength, performance and reliability of every Konecranes lift truck is based on three main elements that make up the heart of our technology:

strong box-type chassisoffering unparalleled stiffness and stability, our box-type chassis, lift masts and tilt cylinder designs are simply the strongest and most durable on the market. this is the foundation of the long-lasting high performance of our lift trucks.

efficient load-sensing hydraulics our load-sensing hydraulic system is smart, smooth and fuel-efficient. It’s based on variable piston pumps that are very efficient thanks to load-sensing flow and pressure valves. the system uses the engine power only as needed at each moment of the lift, based on the load and required lifting speed. the system always provides power-on-demand. If you are driving and not lifting, the system turns off the oil flow. the result is reduced fuel consumption and reduced engine and drive train wear. the system also provides a very precise and smooth feel on the joystick.

intelligent electronic Machine control our Intelligent electronic Machine Control system, eMC Master, is the intelligence in every Konecranes lift truck. Provided with programmable settings, it gives the driver real-time information on truck performance including full monitoring of the engine, transmission, hydraulics, lifting lever/joystick, service intervals and alarms/errors. the system offers some 25 different functions that allow you to tune the lift truck’s performance to your local requirements. You can focus on safety, running costs and productivity. You are in charge.

We also ensure that our trucks are fully compliant with current emissions regulations, anticipating their evolution as a normal part of our product development process.

emissions-compliant enginesWe offer a wide range of powerful volvo, scania and Cummins engines certified according to eu stage 2/3a/3b and us ePa tier 2/3/4i. for eu stage 2 or 3a / us ePa tier 2 or 3 compliance we can offer additional 2-way catalyzers or particle filters (including a catalyzer) to reduce exhaust emissions.

the engines complying with eu stage 3b / us ePa tier 4i are already clean enough and do not need additional after-treatment. they use an improved combustion process and selective Catalytic reduction (sCr) technology with a dual catalyzer and adBlue fluid. the adBlue is injected into the exhausts before going through the second catalyzer. this proven sCr technology has been on the market since 2005 for road trucks and buses.

NearGuard – rfid warning systemthe award-winning nearGuard warning system is based on radio frequency Identification detection (rfId) technology. the system consists of 2 – 4 receivers mounted on the lift truck and rfId tags attached to obstacles and/or employees working in the lift truck’s operating area. When the lift truck is driven in close proximity to a tagged obstacle or employee, the driver sees a flashing warning indicator on the eMC control system’s color display. nearGuard brings a powerful new dimension to lift truck safety and infrastructure protection. tire pressure monitorBy keeping your tires properly inflated you can significantly extend their working life. under-inflated tires can increase fuel consumption by as much as 15% while impairing stability and drivability. our tire pressure monitor makes it easy to keep your lift truck tires properly inflated. It’s installed in minutes. If you combine it with the drive speed limitation provided by the eMC Master you can further extend the life of your tires.

automatic fire alarm and suppression systemWe offer an effective fire alarm and suppression system that can be activated either manuallyor automatically. When the lift truck is in use, the system discharges in one of three ways: manually from inside the cabin; manually from outside via a mudguard trigger; automatically, triggered by sensors in the engine compartment. When the lift truck is not in use, i.e. when the master power switch is turned off, the system discharges automatically when the fire alarm goes off. intelligent functions of eMc Masterour Intelligent electronic Machine Control system, eMC Master, provides the following functions as standard: • full truck monitoring•ECO-Driveandfuelmanagement•Productivitycountermanagement•Driverlog-in(20drivers) the following functions are optional:• electronic weight scale• Mini-wheel steering• Mini-lever steering• auto engine shut down• auto parking brake• auto tilt-to-zero of lift mast• drive speed limitation (unloaded/loaded)• data logging of alarms and errors• remote access service (via GsM)

konecranes has a long history of working with leading container ports and terminals that are expert buyers and operators of container lift trucks. Our customers demand a lot of us, and we have a long track record of meeting their requirements year after year.

empty container lift trucksempty containers are non-paying containers that have to be moved out of the way, and brought back into play, with the greatest possible efficiency. our empty container lift trucks offer the fastest total operating speed on the market as a function of lifting, lowering and driving speed based on load-sensing hydraulics. the range has mid-mounted or rear-mounted cabins and the highest stability in its class.

the smaller sMv eCB 80-series lifts up to 8 tons and stacks 3 to 6 high. the larger sMv eCB 90/100 ds-series lifts 9 or 10 tons and stacks 4 to 8 high. the eCB 100-ds lifts both single and double containers as a twin stacker. these lift trucks are longer and wider since they require more stability.

Laden container lift trucksladen containers are paying containers that need to be moved with the right balance of efficiency and precision within the container handling process. our laden container lift trucks offer a fast total operating speed (lifting + lowering + driving speed). the ratio of lifting capacity to truck size and length is best-in-class. these heavy-duty top-loaders are very stable and still rather compact.

the sMv 33 G – sMv 52 G range has four wheelbases, stacking 2 to 5 high. the smaller sMv 33 G is short and compact, but still lifts 26 – 30 tons up to 4 high. the sMv 37 G – sMv 45 G range is bigger and more powerful. these trucks lift 33 – 43 tons up to 4 or 5 high. the sMv 52 G is the strongest and biggest in the range, lifting 43 – 45 tons up to 5 high.
