PDHPE and educational settings PDHPE is seen as one of the main key learning areas as it: Encourages an understanding of valuing self-others Promotes physical education and a healthy lifestyle Emphasises informed decision making leading to effective and responsible action Concerned with physical, cognitive, social and emotional growth and development patterns

For a teacher to be able to confidently teach pdhpe, I believe that they should follow the following guidelines: Have a good background knowledge of what they are teaching Good management and Discipline skills Clear objectives for lessons Practice what they preach
