Behavioral AdaptationThe emu can ran very fast when it see’s a
delicious meal it can reach 40 mph. The emu is a great swimmer because of its long legs and big body.
Physical Adaptation The emu has 3 tow’s for walking on
uneven terrain. Scientist’s us there 3 tows to tell if it’s a ostrich because the ostrich has 2 tows. The emu also has a hard beak for eating hard stuff.
Baby’s and how they grow The mom and dad breed May through
August. The male emu does not sit on the eggs till 5 to 9 eggs are laid. The emu nest is shallow and is made with leave’s by a bush. The female looses 10 to 20 pounds when she lays the eggs.
Habitat The emu habitat is in Australia on grassy
plain’s and dry open forest’s. The climate is warm, dry, and sunny.
Diet The emu needs water daily and it will eat
any vegetation it can find. It will also eat bugs. It will go crazy about caterpillars.
