1# COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course developed by the Digital Academy aims to overcome the lack of
digital skills in the national labor market. This is a critical gap, because Digital
Transformation is real and it has a huge impact on the global economy, business
and the labor market. We want to overtake this gap through an innovative
methodology developed by IAM. We offer an unique training experience, that
combines technical training and behavioral training.
Our model has short learning modules taught in b-learning basis. Digital
Academy believes that this model provides to the students a very engaging
experience and pragmatic knowledge. There is a certificate for each completed
module.
JavaScript lasts 9 weeks. Students should employ, on average, between 8 and
10 hours of their time, per week. These hours are distributed by technical training,
behavioral training and energizing activities. The workload is 85 hours, segmented
by 49 hours for technical training (58%), 18 hours for behavioral training (21%) and
18 hours to energize activities (21%). Regarding technical training, 24,5 hours are
dedicated to self-study (50%) and the remaining 24,5 hours corresponds to guide
study provided by an expert (50%).
The High energy and engagement activities are designed to increase students
commitment and motivation to take advantage of the course. Students will
participate in very dynamic and enthusiastic sessions. Coaching sessions are
scheduled at the beginning and end of the course to plan and evaluate,
respectively, the progress of each student. The GROW Model (objectives, reality,
options, will) is the chosen methodology to support the sessions. The coaching
sessions aim to promote self-awareness, to provide an in-depth understanding of
the knowledge acquired and its impact on working life, to explore the individual
potential, to encourage continuous learning, and to draw up an individual
development plan.
