This booklet is a quick guide through the basic steps needed to install the SOHO Series KVM Switch with Audio (the KVM Switch). If you have any problems during installation, please refer to the KVMSwitch User Manual.

You will need the following items to install the KVM Switch:• SOHO Series KVM Switch with Audio

• One (each) USB keyboard, DVI monitor, and USB mouse

• One DVI and USB KVM cable per computer installed

• One 9V DC, 1A power supply adapter

• Optional—audio cables (3.5mm plugs) for speakers and microphone installation

Recommended Cable Kits:F1D9201-XX KVM Cables for SOHO Series DVI with Audio,

USB Style

(-XX denotes the length of cable in 6, 10, and 15 feet)

Introduction Connecting the Video, Keyboard, and Mouse to the CONSOLE Ports and Computers on the KVM Switch1

1. Power down your computers.

2. Remove the rear panel of the KVM Switch to expose the ports. (Fig. 1)

3. Connect your USB keyboard and USB mouse to the CONSOLE ports on yourKVM Switch. (Fig. 2)

4. Take the video cable that is attached to your DVI monitor and connect it tothe CONSOLE video port on your KVM Switch. (Fig. 3)

Powering up the KVM Switch21. Connect the included 9V DC, 1A power supply adapter into an available

power outlet.

2. Attach the barrel into the power jack on the KVM Switch to power the unit. The LEDs should illuminate. (Fig. 4)

Connecting the Computers to the KVM Switch31. Power up the computers. Once the operating system has loaded, connect

the USB KVM cable from your computer’s USB port to the USB port on theKVM Switch. The operating system will automatically install the KVM Switch.Do this for all USB connections. (Fig. 5)

2. Shut down your computer. Take the DVI cable and connect the male end ofthe cable to the DVI port on the back of the computer. Connect the maleend of the DVI cable to the back of the KVM Switch for CPU1. Do this for all computers. (Fig. 5)

1. Connect the speakers and microphone to the CONSOLE section of your KVMSwitch. (Fig. 6)

2. Connect one audio cable from the computer’s audio-output port to theaudio port in the CONSOLE Section of the KVM Switch. Do the same for themicrophone connection. (Fig. 7)

3. Power on your connected computers.

You are now ready to use your KVM Switch.

1. Mettez vos ordinateurs hors tension.

2. Retirez le panneau arrière du Switch KVM afin de découvrir les ports. (Fig. 1)

Ce document vous guidera à travers les étapes élémentaires nécessairesà l’installation du Switch KVM USB Série SOHO avec Audio (le switchKVM). Si vous rencontrez des problèmes lors de l’installation, reportez-vous au manuel de l’utilisateur du Switch KVM.

4. Saisissez le câble vidéo relié au moniteur DVI et branchez-le sur le portvidéo CONSOLE de votre Switch KVM. (Fig. 3)

chargé, branchez le câble KVM USB provenant du port USB de l’ordinateursur le port USB du Switch KVM. Le système d’exploitation installeautomatiquement le Switch KVM. Effectuez cette opération pour toutes lesconnexions USB. (Fig. 5)

2. Mettez votre ordinateur hors tension. Branchez l’extrémité mâle du câbleDVI sur le port DVI situé à l’arrière de l’ordinateur. Branchez l’extrémitéfemelle du câble DVI à l’arrière du Switch KVM sur le port CPU 1. Effectuez cette opération pour tous les ordinateurs. (Fig. 5)

2. Branchez la fiche dans la prise d’alimentation du Switch KVM pour alimenter l’appareil. Les témoins doivent s’allumer. (Fig. 4)

2. Branchez un câble audio provenant du port de sortie audio de l’ordinateursur la partie CONSOLE de votre Switch KVM. Effectuez la même opérationpour le microphone. (Fig. 7)

3. Allumez les ordinateurs connectés.

Vous êtes maintenant prêt à utiliser votre Switch KVM.

Anschließen von Monitor, Tastatur und Maus an die KONSOLEN-Schnittstellen und der Computer an den KVM-Umschalter1

1. Schalten Sie alle Computer aus.

2. Nehmen Sie die Rückabdeckung des KVM-Umschalters ab, um die Anschlüssefreizulegen. (Abb. 1)

Diese Broschüre begleitet Sie bei den wesentlichen Schritten der Installation des KVM-Umschalters mit Audio aus der SoHo-Serie.Wenn Sie Probleme bei der Installation haben, benutzen Sie bitte dasBenutzerhandbuch für KVM-Umschalter.

Sie brauchen Folgendes für die Installation des KVM-Umschalters:• SoHo-Serie KVM-Umschalter mit Audio

• Eine USB-Tastatur, einen DVI-Monitor und eine USB-Maus

• Ein DVI- und USB-KVM-Kabel für jeden installierten Computer

• Ein Netzteiladapter (9V Gleichstrom, 1A)

• Optional—Audiokabel (3,5 mm Stecker) für Lautsprecher und Mikrophoninstallation

4. Schließen Sie das Bildschirmkabel Ihres DVI-Monitors an die KONSOLEN-Grafikschnittstelle des KVM-Umschalters an. (Abb. 3)

3. Schließen Sie Ihre USB-Tastatur und Ihre USB-Maus an die KONSOLEN-Schnittstellen des KVM-Umschalters an. (Abb. 2)

Anschließen der Computer an den KVM-Umschalter31. Fahren Sie die Computer hoch. Verbinden Sie nach dem Laden des

Betriebssystems die USB-Schnittstelle Ihres Computers und die USB-Schnittstelle des KVM-Umschalters mit dem USB-KVM-Kabel. Das Betriebssystem installiert den KVM-Umschalter automatisch. Gehen Sie bei allen weiteren USB-Verbindungen ebenso vor. (Abb. 5)

2. Schalten Sie den Computer aus. Schließen Sie den DVI-Stecker an den DVI-Anschluss an der Computerrückseite an. Schließen Sie den Stecker des DVI-Kabels für CPU1 an der Rückseite des KVM-Umschalters an. Gehen Sie bei allen Computern ebenso vor. (Abb. 5)

Hochfahren des KVM-Umschalters21. Schließen Sie das beigefügte Netzteil

(9 V Gleichstrom, 1 A) an eine freie Steckdose an.

2. Stecken Sie den runden Stecker in die Netzteilbuchse des KVM-Umschalters,damit er mit Strom versorgt wird. Jetzt müssten die LEDs aufleuchten. (Abb. 4)

2. Verbinden Sie den Audio-Ausgang des Computers und den Audioanschluss im KONSOLEN-Bereich des KVM-Umschalters mit einem Audiokabel. GehenSie zum Anschließen des Mikrophons ebenso vor. (Abb. 7)

3. Schalten Sie die angeschlossenen Computer ein.

Jetzt können Sie Ihren KVM-Umschalter benutzen.

1. Schakel uw computers uit.

2. Verwijder het paneel aan de achterzijde van de KVM-switch om toegang te krijgen tot de poorten. (Afb. 1)

Deze documentatie helpt u bij het nemen van de belangrijkste stappenvoor het installeren van de KVM-switch met audio-ondersteuning (deKVM-switch) uit de SOHO-serie. Mocht u tijdens de installatie toch opproblemen stuiten, raadpleeg dan de handleiding van de KVM-switch.

Voor de installatie van de KVM-switch hebt u de volgende elementen nodig:• KVM-switch met audio-ondersteuning uit de SOHO-serie

• Een USB-toetsenbord, een DVI-monitor en een USB-muis

• Een DVI-kabel en een USB-KVM-kabel per geïnstalleerde computer

• Een 9V/1A-voedingsadapter

• Optioneel—audio-kabels (3,5mm-aansluitingen) voor installatie vanluidsprekers en microfoon.

USB-uitvoering

Inleiding

Zo bevestigt u de voet van de KVM-switch

4. Neem de videokabel die aan uw monitor is bevestigd en sluit deze aan op de CONSOLE-videopoort op uw KVM-switch. (Afb. 3)

3. Sluit uw USB-toetsenbord en USB-muis aan op de CONSOLE-poorten van uw KVM-switch. (Afb. 2)

De computers op de KVM-switch aansluiten31. Schakel de stroom naar de computers in. Nadat het besturingssysteem is

geladen, sluit u de USB-poort van uw computer met behulp van de USB-KVM-kabel aan op de USB-poort op de KVM-switch. Het besturingssysteemzal de KVM-switch nu automatisch installeren. Herhaal dit voor alle USB-aansluitingen. (Afb. 5)

2. Schakel uw computers uit. Neem de DVI-kabel en sluit de "male" zijde vande kabel aan op de DVI-poort aan de achterzijde van de computer. Sluit de"female" zijde van de DVI-kabel aan op de achterzijde van de KVM-switchvoor CPU1. Herhaal dit voor alle computers. (Afb. 5)

De KVM-switch aanzetten21. Sluit de meegeleverde 9V/1A-voedingsadapter aan op een vrij stopcontact.

2. Sluit de busstekker aan op de voedingsingang op de KVM-switch om de unit van stroom te voorzien. De LED's zouden nu moeten oplichten. (Afb. 4)

2. Sluit het ene uiteinde van de audio-kabel aan op de audio-uitgang van decomputer en het andere uiteinde op de audio-poort van het CONSOLE-deelvan de KVM-switch. Ga op dezelfde wijze te werk voor de aansluiting van demicrofoon. (Afb. 7)

3. Zet de aangesloten computers aan.

U kunt uw KVM-switch nu in gebruik nemen.

1. Apague sus ordenadores.

cargado, conecte el cable KVM USB entre el puerto USB ’de su ordenador y el puerto USB del Conmutador KVM. El sistema operativo instalaráautomáticamente el Conmutador KVM. Proceda igual para todas lasconexiones USB. (Fig. 5)

2. Apague su ordenador. Tome el cable DVI y conecte el extremo macho delmismo al puerto DVI de la parte posterior del ordenador. Conecte el extremomacho del cable DVI a la parte posterior del Conmutador KVM para CPU1.Proceda igual para todos los ordenadores. (Fig. 5)

3. Encienda los ordenadores conectados.

Ahora estará listo para emplear su Conmutador KVM.

Collegamento di monitor, tastiera e mouse alle porte della console dello switch1

1. Spegnere tutti i computer.

2. Togliere il pannello posteriore dello switch KVM in modo tale da vedere le porte. (Fig. 1)

Questo opuscolo vi guiderà passo passo all’installazione dello switchKVM Serie SOHO con audio. Per qualsiasi problema nel corso dell’instal-lazione, consultare il Manuale Utente dello switch KVM.

Per l’installazione dello switch assicurarsi di avere quanto segue:• Switch KVM Serie SOHO con audio

• Una tastiera USB, un monitor DVI e un mouse USB

• Un cavo DVI e USB KVM per ogni computer installato

• Un adattatore alimentatore di corrente 9V DC, 1A

• Cavi audio (spina 3.5mm) — per l’installazione degli speaker e del microfono

Kit cavi raccomandati:F1D9201-XX Cavi KVM DVI Serie SOHO con audio,

Stile USB

(-XX indica la lunghezza del cavo di 1,8, 3 e 4,5 metri)

4. Prendere il cavo del video che è collegato al monitor DVI e collegarlo alla porta video della CONSOLE dello switch. (Fig. 3)

3. Collegare la tastiera e il mouse USB alle porte della CONSOLE sullo switch KVM. (Fig. 2)

Collegamento dei computer allo switch KVM31. Accendere i computer. Una volta caricato il sistema operativo, collegare il

cavo KVM USB dalla porta USB del computer alla porta USB dello switchKVM. Il sistema operativo installerà automaticamente lo Switch KVM.Ripetere l’operazione per tutte le connessioni USB. (Fig. 5)

2. Spegnere il computer. Prendere il cavo DVI e collegare la spina del cavo alla porta DVI situata sul retro del computer. Collegare la spina del cavo DVI al retro dello switch KVM per il primo computer. Ripetere l’operazioneper tutti i computer. (Fig. 5)

Accendere lo switch KVM21. Collegare l’adattatore di corrente 9V DC, 1A in dotazione

ad una presa di alimentazione disponibile.

2. Inserire la spina nella presa di alimentazione dello switch KVM per accendere l’unità. Il LED di alimentazione dovrebbe accendersi. (Fig. 4)

2. Collegare un cavo audio dalla presa audio del computer alla porta audiodella CONSOLE dello switch KVM. Ripetere la stessa operazione per ilcollegamento del microfono. (Fig. 7)

3. Accendere i computer collegati.

Ora lo switch KVM è pronto per essere usato.
