There are many different types of controlers that are found in

different industries and applications are as Below:

Counters Timers

Power controlers Data recorders

PLC Frequency converters

Softstarters

A cabinet is an industrial enclosure that is

divided into shelves or drawers used for either

storing or displaying products or items.

Different types of cabinets are available for use in

different applications and in different industries.

Indoor cabinets

Outdoor cabinets

Rack cabinets

Electrical cabinets

Stainless steel cabinets

Outdoor cabinets are types of panel

components under the enclosures category

found and used in an industry. They’re primarily

used for storing and protecting industrial

products and industrial power supplies. Unlike

any other type of cabinets, these cabinets have

been designed in such a way that they can

withstand extreme weather conditions as well as

extreme industrial environments. They are

placed in the outdoors due to the hazardous

contents they conceal.

They are made up of stainless steel, carbon

steel, rigid and hard plastics and aluminum

materials. They are also known as outside

enclosures.

Electrical cabinets or electrical enclosures are

types of cabinets specifically built for electrical

equipment's where knobs, switches and displays

are mounted so as to prevent electrical shock to

users as well as protect the electrical

components from harsh severe environments.

The cabinets are built in a way that only the

outside casing is seen by users or

passersby. The interior part which contains the

electrical components are enclosed and hence

their names.

J u n c t i o n b o x e s A junction box is a type of

enclosure/container that conceals electrical

connections and cables from tampering. These

boxes are either made up of plastic, metal or

wood. They contain wiring intersections that allow

the simplified connection of electricity from a

main power supply to homes and buildings.

The rating and use of junction boxes is done

via amps. The most common amps are 5, 20

and 30. The size of the amp is usually equivalent

to the amount of electrical current to which is

being connected to. A higher rated box can be

used for low circuit but a lower rated box cannot

be used for a much higher circuit.

An industrial terminal box is an electrical

equipment that usually contains electrical leads

from the equipment which are ready for

connection to an external electrical power

source. They provide easy and reliable electric

connection in any industry.

Terminal boxes come with a removable outside

casing that covers the internal cables or wires.

The removable casing allows the connection of

the electrical leads/cables to the main power

source. These boxes are made in a manner that

they can hold different currents of power with the

greatest ease.

A distribution box is an electrical

component that functions by dividing and

regulating the flow of electric current through a

distribution board. It also functions by providing

a secure and protective casing to each and

every circuit.

The working principle behind this box is to

provide a continuous and orderly flow of

electricity so as to ensure that circuitry overload

and short circuits are not experienced.

These are types of cabinets and enclosures

that are primarily used for mounting electrical

and computer products. They play a very

important role when it comes to dividing different

products under one place thanks to the

racks. Depending on the type and

manufacturer of the cabinet, the racks present

in them are usually made up of plastic, or metal.

Since they are not used to store or conceal high

end or risky products, these cabinets are not as

complicated as other types of industrial cabinets

such as electrical or steel. Majority of them are

made up of rigid plastics and steel.

Consoles are used for different functions in a

variety of industries. This can be attributed to the

wide range of consoles available in the market.

One of well-know Consoles producer is Rittal

corp.

They can be found in applications such as control

rooms, desk panels, computer accessories and

industrial machines. These industrial products

are designed in such a way that they help in

easing and accommodating different tasks in any

industry.

Also known as a breaker panel, this is an

electrical device that functions by breaking the

continuous flow of electricity to an

appliance. The main meter in any household or

industry is usually connected to this device.

Breakers are types of switches that automatically

cut off any form of electric current when

an overload or electrical surge occurs.

These panels prevent as well as protect the

circuits from overheating due to a defective

appliance or poor wiring. This is one important

function that prevents the destruction of the

appliances as well as the meter box itself.

These are industrial enclosures that are

primarily made from stainless steel

materials. They are used to conceal both

sensitive and less sensitive industrial products.

The inside part of the cabinets is enclosed by a

steel door which is opened from the outside

using a handle bar or a security code

depending on the model of the cabinet. They

are used to conceal data power points and

cables, communication cables and electrical

products.
