Step One: Select the Appropriate Label Layout

4 Easy Steps to Print International Labels

1. Open your Endicia® software

2. Go to File > Open Layout

3. Select the appropriate label layout (e.g., “Large Priority Mail Shipping Label.lyt”)

4. Click on the “Open” button

Step Two: Enter the “To” Address and “From” Address

4 Easy Steps to Print International Labels

Entering the “To” (Main) address:

1. Go to Layout > Main Address

2. Enter the Main (“To”) address

- Last line: Country Name ONLY, spelled correctly and not abbreviated

- Do NOT enter the country “United Kingdom”; the U.S. Postal Service requires the specific country (England, Ireland, Scotland, etc.)

3. Click on the “OK” button

1. Go to Layout > Main Address

2. Enter the Main (“To”) address

- Last line: Country Name ONLY, spelled correctly and not abbreviated

- Do NOT enter the country “United Kingdom”; the U.S. Postal Service requires the specific country (England, Ireland, Scotland, etc.)

3. Click on the “OK” button

1. Go to Layout > Return Address

2. In the “Postage Options” window, enter ALL “Sender Information,” including the phone number and at least two words for the “Name”

3. Click on the “OK” button

Step Three: Complete the Relevant Print Window Fields

4 Easy Steps to Print International Labels

1. Click on the “Print” icon

2. Select the appropriate “Type,” “Class,”“Weight,” and “Ship Date” using the corresponding drop-down menus

3. To add insurance, use the “Insurance”drop-down menu to select the insurance carrier

4. If you selected insurance, enter the insured value in the “Value” field. The value MUST match the value entered later in the “Customs Information” window

- If the customs declared value and insured value need to be different, do NOTselect insurance. U.S. Postal Service insurance will need to be purchased at the Post Office and the 3813 U.S. Postal Service insurance form completed and attached to the mail piece

3. Check the “I certify that the … are correct” box and enter your name below it. This acts as the sender’s signature

4. Click on the “Print” button to print the postage and customs informationNote: (1) If this is the first time you are using this layout, you should test print first; (2) For Priority Mail® International (except the Flat Rate Envelope) and Express Mail® International, place all four copies in the provided 2976-E self-adhesive envelope and attach it to the mail piece; (3) For more details on how to print international labels, click on the “New User Guides” button on the “Endicia Online Support” page

Common Errors and Solutions

Common Errors Solutions“State Not Recognized” error messagePossible causes: (1)Last address line includes more than the just the country name (extra text, numbers, and/or symbols) (2)Country name misspelled (3)Country name abbreviated

Check Endicia's country list (Found in the "Country" drop-down window under the "Address" button in the "Address Book")

Check that no unseen code was brought in (This may occur if you copy the address from another location, such as an e-mail or a webpage)

For specifics, click on the "New User Guides" button on the "Endicia Online Support" page

Label not integrated with Customs form orNot receiving the online postage discount Possible cause: Incorrect (non-integrated) label layout used

Use a label layout with integrated Customs form (Layouts listed in this webinar or found in the "New User Guides“ on the "Endicia Online Support" page)

Label printing incompletePossible cause: Incorrect printer settings used or correct printer settings used but not saved to the label layout

Correct your printer settings and save the correct printer settings to the label layoutFor specifics, click on the "New User Guides" button on the "Endicia Online Support" page
