Sgt. James Hodge, U. S. Army (Tech class of '89) was injured in Iraq this summer. Jim was in a Jeep that ran over a landmine in Baghdad on July 28. The driver was killed, but fortunately Jim survived. He lost a hand and took quite a bit of shrapnel in his legs. He has trouble walking, but is recovering well.

Jim has served in the Army since 2000, and served in the Marines from 1989 to 1997 (pictured, right). He served in the first Gulf War as well.

He is currently stationed in Bad Nauheim, Germany, where he is recu-perating from this summer's injuries. His wife Carla, and their three children, Cindy, Mateo, and Luca, are with him there.
