How much time do we have left? Probably between seven and ten years. Could it be longer? Yes, but its not likely.

1THE FINAL SEVEN YEARS WILL BEGIN WHEN THE ANTICHRIST

AND THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY GIVE THEIR SUPPORT

TO ISRAELS RIGHT TO EXIST IN THE LAND PROMISED TO ABRAHAM

BY GOD. THIS IS CALLED THE CONFIRMATION OF THE COVENANT

DANIEL 9:27 & GENESIS 15:18.

Israeli Prime Minister has openly stated that the number one goal

of his administration is to obtain the support of the international

community for ISRAELS FINAL BORDERS. He hopes to achieve

this by the end of 2008.

2A WAR WILL BEGIN FROM THE VICINITY OF THE EUPHRATES

RIVER REVELATION 9:1316.

Most of the Euphrates River is in Iraq. The United States has

140,000 troopsSTATIONED ALONG THE EUPHRATES at this time.

The conflict between the U.S. and Islamic Fundamentalism is not

diminishing, but increasing around the world.

3THE WEST BANK JUDEA IN ISRAEL WILL BECOME A PLACE OF

GREAT TRIBULATION MATTHEW 24:1521.

Ehud Olmert has openly said that he will withdraw from the West

Bank (Judea) by the end of 2008. Then, recently, he announced

that his convergence-withdrawal plan is off NO LONGER

RELEVANT. Whether or not Israel withdraws, the prophecy is

clear that there will be slaughter in Judea.

4THE TEMPLE MOUNT IN JERUSALEM WILL BE PLACED UNDER

A SHARING ARRANGEMENT BETWEEN JEW AND GENTILE

REVELATION 11:12.

President Clinton suggested the SHARING OF THE TEMPLE

MOUNT in July of 2000. It is generally believed this is the only

possible solution to the Temple Mount dispute whenever the

issue is finally resolved.

5THE JEWISH TEMPLE WILL BE BUILT ON THE TEMPLE MOUNT

REVELATION 11:12 & 2 THESSALONIANS 2:34.

All the furniture for ISRAELS THIRD TEMPLE is now complete;

Israel has her long-sought-for red heifer, which is needed before

the re-establishment of temple worship; and in June of 2005, the

newly re-born Sanhedrin announced they were proceeding with

building the temple. They intend to pre-fabricate it off-site.

6THE TEMPLE MOUNT WILL BE PLACED UNDER THE SUPERVISION

OF THE WORLD COMMUNITY AND THE LEADER OF THE WORLD

COMMUNITY, THE ANTICHRIST, WILL STAND ON THE TEMPLE

MOUNT, CLAIMING TO BE GOD 2 THESSALONIANS 2:34.

The Temple Mount will be placed under the supervision of the

world community and the leader of the world community, THE

ANTICHRIST, will stand on the Temple Mount, claiming to be

God (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4). Ehud Barak, Israeli Prime Minister

in the year 2000, suggested placing the Temple Mount UNDER

UN CONTROL in order to make a sharing of the Temple Mount

possible. When the UN takes control of the Temple Mount, the

leader of the world government will feel justified in claiming

ultimate authority there.

7A WORLD GOVERNMENT WILL DOMINATE THE WORLD FOR

THREE AND ONEHALF YEARS PRIOR TO ARMAGEDDON

DANIEL 7:23 & REVELATION 13:7.

The nations of the world are increasingly recognizing the authority

of INTERNATIONAL LAW. We now have the World Bank, the World

Trade Organization, the World Health Organization and the World

Courtjust to name a few. We have a World Court to adjudicate

the international laws of the emerging world government.

8EACH PERSON ON EARTH WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE A MARK OR

A NUMBER IN ORDER TO BUY OR SELL REVELATION 13:1618.

On May 11, 2005, President Bush signed the REAL ID ACT.The law

requires that every American must have a national ID card by May

11, 2008. Without this card, a person will not be able to hold a job

or open a bank account. Without a job or a bank account, how

much buying and selling will an individual be able to do? Oh, by

the way, you cant get your card without giving your number

your social security number.

9THE WORLD COMMUNITY, LED BY RUSSIA AND IRAN, WILL

INVADE THE NATION OF ISRAEL ZECHARIAH 14:24 & EZEKIEL

38 & 39.

Iran (Persia) and Russia (Meshechroot word for Moscovi or

Moscow) are NOW IN ALLIANCE. Iran is the leading advocate of

wiping Israel off the map.n

Nine specific prophecies in the Bible will occur within the final seven years

NATIONAL ID AND TRACKINGSYSTEM DRAWS NEAR

With the deadline or the implementa-tion o the national ID looming just monthsahead, states have begun to wrestle with therequirements or conorming to the ederal

governments mandate. As the cost and theextent o privacy invasion dawns on the stategovernments, one afer another have begunto rebel. Maine passed a resolution callingor the repeal o the Real ID Act. Montanapassed a law flatly rejecting the enacting othe national ID in its state. As this issue goesto press, 38 states have either passed legis-

lation against the Real ID or are consider-ing doing so. Could it be that Americanswill once again reject being numbered andtracked?

THE MIDDLE EASTIn spite o Hamas adamant reusal to

recognize Israels right to exist, the interna-tional community continues its ull-court-press to move Middle East peace talks or-ward. Te first ace-to-ace trilateral summit

in six years was held on February 19th whenU.S. Secretary o State Condoleezza Rice,Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas andIsraeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert met todiscuss the possibilities or peace. Te onlysuccess announced rom the meeting wasthe agreement to meet again.

Te international slogan adopted by theworld community or the Middle East is

two states living side-by-side in peace andsecurity. Since Hamas controls the Pal-estinian government and since its chartercalls or the annihilation o the state o Is-rael, many have thought these peace effortsto be utile.

However, a new approach to peace hasrecently suraced. It has been proposed

that Israel unilaterally withdraw rom theWest Bank, inviting the European Unionto occupy the area until a reliable Palestin-ian government can be put in place. Tiswould allow Israel to escape internationalcondemnation because o its illegal oc-cupation, and Europe could protect Israelrom the incessant rocket attacks rom the

MARK OF THE BEAST?How can a person be sure that the Social

Security Number is not the Mark of the

Beast described in Revelation 13:16?

REPLY | The true tests lie in Revelation 13and its definition of the mark of the beast:

Revelation 13 says that the mark of the beast

system will be:

Worldwide - Verse 16, along with the con-

text of the chapter, which is the antichrists

rule and the one world government.

The mark will be in the right hand or theforehead - Verse 16

Without it we cannot buy or sell - Verse 17

So, lets compare these Biblical criteria to

the SSN:

The SSN is a US only program, though oth-

er countries have similar programs.

Currently, the SSN isnt applied to the right

hand or forehead.

Although working and operating in this

nation without a SSN is difficult, it is still

possible to buy and sell.

That said, though we can safely say that the

Social Security Number is not the mark of the

beast, systems like it, along with the National

ID, are definitely taking us closer to its fulfill-

ment - rapidly.

DANIELS 70TH WEEK

What is the significance of the extended

period of time after the the mid-point of

Daniels Seventieth Week? I am of the un-

derstanding that Daniels Seventieth Week

is broken into two segments of 1260 days

with the Abomination that maketh Deso-

late transpiring at the break point. Is my

understanding incorrect?

REPLY | You are correct that Daniels 70thweek is divided into two equal periods of 3 1/2

years (42 months, 1260 days). We know from

Dan 9:27 that the midpoint is the abomina-

tion of desolation. We read of this division in

numerous places, including Rev 11:2-3, Rev

12:6, and Rev 13:5. In Daniel 12:7, we find

the same period of time being referred to as

time, times, and an half . The same terminol-

ogy is also used in Rev 12:14.

According to Jesus statement in Matthew

24:15-21, we understand that this latter 3 1/2

years of Daniels 70th Week is the Great Tribu-

lation. Notice that in verse 15, He says, When

ye therefore shall see the abomination of

desolation. In v21, He says, For then shall begreat tribulation...

STOCK MARKETS TO MERGE...

ANOTHER STEP?

I was wondering what you made of the

stock markets merging together (Tokyo

and NYSE - http://www.msnbc.msn.com/

id/16786542/), how this renders the SEC

and the US Government impotent over

our companies, currency, and eventually

economy? It seems like this is another pre-

cursor to the one-world government, and

that we would be told the world govern-ment is needed to oversee and regulate

these global international institutions and

companies.

REPLY |This is a huge sign of the advanceof world government. Globalists say that in

order to have peace and security, we must

have a one world political system, a one

world economy and a one world religion. The

development of a global stock market is a key

component to the one world economy.

TIMING OF REVELATION 21:1

I am trying to put Rev 21:1 on the timeline:

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth,

for the first heaven and the first earth were

passed away, and there was no more sea.

Does this take place at the beginning of the

1000 years or at the end?

REPLY |Many believe that this set of eventsfollows the millenium. This conclusion is

reached, in part, because Revelation 21 fol-

lows Revelation 20.

However, if we compare the statements of

Revelation 21 with those of 2 Peter 3, we find

that both passages are referring to the same

set of events. 2 Peter 3 speaks of:

The old heavens and earth being destroyed

- 2 Peter 3:10-12

A new heaven and a new earth - 2 Peter

3:13

WHEN DO THESE EVENTS HAPPEN?

2 Peter 3:10 says they happen at the day of

the Lord. 2 Peter 3:12 says that they hap-pen at the day of God. Both of these terms

are used in connection with the coming of

the Lord and the Battle of Armageddon (1

Thess 5:2, Rev 16:14).

So, Revelation 21:1 occurs at the beginning

of the 1000 year reign of Christ.

the discussions about the possiblities of

the government chipping us. What do we

do?

REPLY |Well, first and foremost, we need tobe diligent to make our calling and election

sure (2 Peter 1:10). Far ecclipsing anything

else, is the importance of making sure we are

daily walking with God.

After that, we need to focus our energies on

spreading the Gospel to every creature

(Mark 16:15). Our world desperately needs to

hear the message that we are in the end times,

and that our only hope is in Jesus Christ.

DID JOHN UNDERSTAND

WHAT HE WROTE?

Ive heard you say that John died, not un-

derstanding his own book of Revelation

and that it was only meant to be under-

stood by the generation of the time of the

end. Will you tell me where that scripture

is in the Bible? Thank you so much! I love

your show and your ministry!

REPLY | Irvin has said that Daniel did notunderstand his own writings, and that they

were sealed up until the time of the end. Dan-

iel 12:4 and Daniel 12:9 tell us that Daniel

was commanded to seal up his writings until

the time of the end. Daniel was told that the

words he wrote were closed and sealed un-

til the end times.

Nothing in Revelation says exactly the same

thing about all of Johns writings. John was

told to seal up the things that the seven thun-ders uttered and to not write them (Rev. 10:3-

4). However, he is told not to seal up the say-

ings of the rest of the book (Rev 22:10).

Does this mean that he understood every-

thing he wrote? The intuitive answer is no.

Whereas John was writing about things that

hadnt happened yet, and wouldnt happen

until long after his death, it is hard to imagine

how he could have understood everything

that he saw.

PETS IN DANGER OF DAMNATION?

I have a question about pets. With all the

animal-chipping, will any of those chips

ever become the actual mark of the beast,

damning our pets for eternity? I hope and

pray not! Although I wouldnt think animals

can be damned, I am very concerned aboutthis because I love my pets as if they were

my children. Thank you.

REPLY | When the scripture speaks aboutthe mark of the beast in the book of Revela-

tion, it only refers to human beings, and the

consequences to them. Please note the fol-

lowing:

Rev 13:17 says, that no man might buy or

sell save he that had the mark... The scrip-

ture refers specifically to human beings, andto the process of conducting buying and

selling, something our pets cannot do.

Rev 16:2 says that the angel went and

poured his vial (of Gods wrath) on the men

which had the mark of the beast. It speaks

specifically of human beings, not animals.

However, we also need to consider something

else. The whole issue of sin, judgment, salva-

tion, and damnation is one that pertains

strictly to human beings, not to animals. The

whole reason Jesus came and died for us

was because of sin that human beings, who

were made in the image of God, committed.

In the beginning, it was Adam and Eve (hu-

man beings) who sinned against God, and

were separated from Him (Genesis 3). As a

result, God Himself took on the form of man

to redeem Adams descendants (human be-

ings) back to Him (Romans 5). I find nowhere

in scripture where God speaks of animals

being either saved or damned. This makes

sense, since they never sinned against God.

The Bible does teach that all of creation was

affected by the fall of man (Gen. 3, Rom. 8),

but it doesnt teach that anybody but human

beings are in need of the plan of salvation or

are in risk of damnation.n

WORLD WAR III HAS ALREADY BEGUN,

SAYS ISRAELI SPY CHIEF

According to the former head of Israels in-

telligence service Mossad, Efraim Halevy,

a third World War is already underway be-

tween Islamic militancy and the West. Dur-

ing World War I and II the entire world felt

there was a war going on, but the world

doesnt feel that today, said Halevy. From

time to time there is a terrorist attack and

then everything stays the same. Halevypredicts it will take a minimum of 25 years

before the battle against Islamic fundamen-

talist terrorism is won and during this time a

nuclear strike by Islamic militants is likely.

U.S. STRIKE GROUP TRANSITS

SUEZ CANAL

A U.S. Navy strike group led by the assault

ship USS Bataan has passed through the

Suez Canal on its way to join a buildup of

American forces in the Middle East. The

seven-vessel Bataan group is said to in-

clude 2,200 U.S. Marines and sailors, he-

licopters and Harrier fighter jets. The U.S.

Fifth Fleet will be overseeing around 50

warships in the Mideast after the arrival of

the Bataan and an American aircraft car-

rier group according to U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr.

Charlie Brown. The carrier USS Dwight D.

Eisenhower is already in the region. The

United States has not had two carriers in

the Mideast since 2003.

REPORT: N. KOREA HELPING IRAN

GET NUKES

As reported in the Daily Telegraph, North

Korea and Iran are cooperating on Irans

nuclear program. According to a new

agreement between the two countries,

North Korea has been passing over techni-

cal information from its nuclear test that

was conducted last fall. Western officials

fear this new cooperation amongst the

axis of evil countries could enable Iran to

carry out a nuclear test later this year.

U.S. MULLS IRAN ATTACK IN EARLY 2007

According to Diplomatic sources, the Bush

administration has raised the prospect of aU.S. strike on Iran this year. There has not

been a U.S. commitment, but the discus-

sions have been interpreted as an expres-

sion of intent, the sources said.

DOOMSDAY CLOCK TICKS CLOSER

TO ARMAGEDDON

The Nobel laureate scientist Stephen Hawk-

ing has warned that the world is on the

brink of a second nuclear age. The University

of Cambridge mathematicians comments

came as the time on the doomsday clock,

which counts down to nuclear Armageddon,

was moved two minutes closer to midnight.

Since 1947, the clock - with midnight repre-

senting nuclear apocalypse - has appeared

on the cover of the Bulletin of the Atomic

Scientists. The position of the clocks hand

was moved to five minutes before midnight

on Wednesday, January 17, 2007.

THINK TANK SAYS ISRAEL CAPABLE OF

ATTACKING IRANS NUCLEAR PROGRAM

ON ITS OWN

Tel Aviv Universitys Institute for National

Security Studies has said that Iran will

possess nuclear weapons unless military

action is taken against it, and Israel

would be capable of carrying out such

an attack. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Ol-

mert has not ruled out a military strike,

but has said he hoped other ways could

be found.

SHOWDOWN WITH IRAN

According to Kenneth Timmerman, au-

thor of Countdown to Crisis: the Coming

Nuclear Showdown with Iran, the nuclear

crisis with Iran has finally erupted andthat in the next few months we should ex-

pect the very real possibility of a war that

could spread far beyond the Persian Gulf.

Timmerman says the trigger for the crisis

occurred when the UN Security Council

passed a binding resolution to impose

sanctions on Iran.

AHMADINEJAD: IRAN NOW

NUCLEAR POWER

Iranian president Ahmadinejad is now

saying that Iran is now a nuclear power.

The announcement of Iran as a nuclear

power is bound to significantly escalate

tensions. Ahmadinejad also boasted that

Iranian scientists reached the zenith of sci-

ence and technology and gained access to

the nuclear fuel cycle without the help of

big powers.

N. KOREA DEMANDS TO BE

TREATED AS NUCLEAR POWER

North Korea has opened back up nuclear

arms talks insisting that it be treated as a

A revolt against a national drivers license,

begun in Maine last month, has been

quickly spreading to other states. The

Maine Legislature overwhelmingly passed

Wyoming, Montana, New Mexico, Vermont

and Washington State also balked at Real

ID. It is expected that these states will soon

pass laws or adopt resolutions declining

to participate in the federal identification

network. Arizona, Georgia, Hawaii, Massa-

chusetts, Missouri, New Hampshire, Okla-

homa, Utah and Wyoming all have active

legislation against Real ID. Missouri State

Rep. James Guest has formed a coalition of

BACKED BY GERMANYGermany is pushing for Union-wide rules

entailing national police operating across

borders and the sharing of DNA informa-

A working prototype of an implant designed

to monitor the physiology and whereabouts

of human wearers, known as Digital Angel,

is scheduled to be unveiled later this year at

an invitation-only event in New York City. In

addition to monitoring physiological data,

the device will be marketed as a means of

verifying online consumer identity. There

are also hopes that Digital Angel will tap

into the preventative medicine market with

its ability to monitor body functions such as

temperature, heartbeat and specific needs

such as insulin levels.

PORTABLE RFID ASSET TRACKING SYSTEM

VeriChip Corporation has been granted a

patent for its portable RFID asset location

system. The patent combines RFID tagging

technology with a portable receiver to track

the location of assets within a fixed setting,

such as a building. Rather than relying on a

network of fixed receivers, the asset loca-

tion system collects RFID messages, which

the system uses to identify the unique ID

of the asset as well as its room location. By

not requiring the installation of numerous

fixed receivers, such a system could lower

the cost of implementing RFID technology.

RFID PASSPORTS CLONED IN FIVE

MINUTESNew passports using radio frequency iden-

tification (RFID) chips can be cloned in less

than five minutes according to two tech-

nology consultants. Lukas Grunwald and

Christian Bottger bought an RFID reader

on eBay and developed software that pro-

vides a blank chip in which cloned data can

be copied onto.

NSC SEEKS TO PLACE ISRAEL IN NATO

In an effort to establish more effective

deterrence in the face of Irans race to obtain

nuclear weapons, Israeli government minis-

tries are, for the first time, working on draft-

ing a position paper for turning Israel into a

full-fledged member of NATO. The Spanish

Prime Minister, Jose Maria Aznar, has said

that Israel needs to join NATO as soon as

possible. The former Spanish leader and

current president of the FAES Spanish think

tank said that if Israel became a member of

NATO, the perception in Iran would change

because Iran would be dealing with all of

NATO rather than Israel alone.

BAN URGED TO WEIGH IN ON MIDDLE

EAST CONFLICT

European Union foreign-policy point man,

Javier Solana, says that he hopes to con-

vene a high-level meeting in Europe as

early as this month between Mr. Ban and

top diplomats from America, Europe, and

was set up as the first permanent global

war crimes court in 2002. The court that

issued its first arrest warrants in 2005. The

ICC Chief Prosecutor, Luis Moreno-Ocam-

po, is also planning to charge suspects

soon for atrocities in Sudans Darfur region.

The United States has fiercely opposed the

ICC, fearing it would be used for politically

motivated prosecutions of its soldiers and

citizens, but its hostility to the court has

blackened skies of Kuwait. Saddam Hussein

had set 700 of the worlds richest oil wells

ablaze as he was being forced to withdraw

from the land he had invaded. The pictures

were of Kuwait at noon, but it looked like

midnight. Immediately the prophecy came tomind:

And the fifh angel sounded, and I saw a star all rom heaven untothe earth: and to him was given the key o the bottomless pit. Firefighting specialists rom all over the world converged on Ku-

wait to fight the blazing oil fires. Te skies o Kuwait hung heavy withthe thick black smoke. Te sun was not seen there or the next threemonths. I remember thinking, Tis certainly looks like the proph-ecy, but surely not At the time, I was under the impression that theprophecies o the Seven rumpets could not come to pass until thetime o the great tribulation. I now know that the first six trumpetsmust occur beore the final three and one-hal years o great tribula-tion begins. Tis can be proven rom the scriptures.

Te prophecy went on to say that locusts came out o the smoke.Tese locusts had aces as men, breastplates o iron, and their stingswere in their tails. It also states that the sound o their wings was asthe sound o chariots o many horses running to battle. Locusts withbreastplates o iron and the aces o men? Te sound o their wings asthe sound o many horses running to battle? I a person saw a visiono helicopters or jet airplanes in 95 AD, is there a chance he woulddescribe them in this way?

Te prophecy concludes by saying that the armies had a king overthem, which is the angel o the bottomless pit, whose name in the He-brew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apol-lyon. Te meaning o both Abaddon and Apollyon is destroyer.

Saddam the destroyer HusseinAs I pondered all o these possibilities, an article rom the Ger-

man ribune (March 10, 1991), added uel to the fire. Te article was

reporting on the Gul War and the terrible devastation being causedby Saddam Hussein. Te writer reerred to him as Saddam the de-stroyer Hussein.

Knowing that Apollyon and Abaddon meant destroyer, I had toask mysel: Could I be watching the unolding o the 5th rumpet?At the time, I thought, Surely not. But still, I saved the pictures othe blackened skies o Kuwait at noonday, and I saved the German

ribune article about Saddam the destroyer Hussein.Six years later, the Jerusalem Post (December 13, 1997), arrived at

my home. It contained an interesting interview with the last Jewishamily that had lef Baghdad and had just arrived in Jerusalem. In thearticle, the wie o the amily was recounting an interesting experi-ence concerning the birth o Saddam Hussein.

When carrying Saddam, his mother was having a terrible pregnancy.

Te Iraqi doctors advised an abortion. Saddams mother, not wanting anabortion, moved to the Jewish sector o Baghdad where the finest doctorsin Iraq lived. Te Jewish doctors nursed her through her pregnancy.

When the baby boy was finally born, his mother decided to namehim Saddam, which means destroyer in Arabic, because he had al-most destroyed her. Reading this story, I remembered the German

ribune article six years earlier that had reerred to Saddam the de-stroyer Hussein.Digging deeper, I ound that the name Saddam is defined as: one

who conronts; crusher; or destroyer. In the Epoch imes on July 4,2005, Iraqis were shown carrying signs o Saddam Hussein with themessage written, We demand the trial o Saddam the destroyer. Inan article entitled, Activists are wrong to protest war against SaddamHusseins brutality, the ollowing statement was made: Tis is whatwe were fighting against. We were fighting Saddam, the destroyer.

Negative responsesUnbelief- 2 Kings 7 records a time in Is-

ly reused to believe the prophecy given byElisha. It sounded too good to be true, so he

Lack of spiritual awareness - WhenJesus was speaking to the religious expertso His day, he contended with their lack oability to recognize that prophecy was beingulfilled all around them. With grie, He saidto them, O ye hypocrites, ye can discern theace o the sky; but can ye not discern the

Nevertheless, God hasgiven us the promise o His soon return, thatwe may look to it with aith, expectation, andrejoicing. Tankully, the Bible records ex-amples o these positive responses as well.

Positive responsesFaith in God- When Abraham was more

than seventy five years old, God spoke to himand promised him a child (Genesis 15). Likethe promise o ood during a amine, it sound-ed too good to be true. However, Abrahamsresponse was one o aith. Te Bible says, He

believed in the LORD, and he counted it tohim or righteousness. Genesis 15:6. Te

seeming impossibility o the promise had nobearing on Abrahams response. Being notweak in aith, he considered not his own bodynow deadhe staggered not at the promiseo God through unbelie; but was strong inaith, giving glory to God; And being ully

persuaded that, what he had promised, hewas able also to perorm. Romans 4:19-21.Abraham was convinced that God would dowhatever He had promised.

Hope and expectation Luke 2 tells oa man named Simeon. He isnt described asamous, rich, influential, or powerul. Te

Bible simply says that he was just and de-vout and was waiting or the consolationo Israel; and the Holy Ghost was upon him. Luke 2:25. While others around him wereblind to the coming o their Savior, Simeonwas eagerly awaiting it. He, unlike some ohis more esteemed counterparts, was spiri-tually aware that the coming o Messiah was

near. Te Bible says that the Holy Ghost hadrevealed to him that he would not die untilhe had seen the promised Christ. When theinant Jesus was brought to the temple ordedication, Simeon immediately recognizedHim, not because Jesus entered the templewith anare, but because Simeons hope and

expectation allowed him to recognize theulfillment o Gods promises. In like man-

ner, the Bible promises that at His return, Je-sus will appear to, them that look or Him. Hebrews 9:28.

Motivated to action Noah, whenwarned o God o the coming flood, not only

heard and believed God, but took the actionGod expected rom Him (Genesis 6). He im-mediately set out to build the ark in the man-ner God specified, so that he could not onlysave himsel, but his amily as well (Hebrews11:7). His belie in Gods promise motivatedhim to action or himsel, and or those heloved. It mattered not whether the crowd

believed his preaching; his course remainedone o obedience to God.

God, in His goodness, has given us a Biblethat contains an increasingly clear picture othe events that will attend His soon coming.What is our response to His kindness? TeBible records the various ways that peoplehave responded to prophecy in times past.

PredestinationForeknowledeFreewill.Do we really have a choice, or are we mere puppets in a much largerscheme o things? Te coming world governmentInteraithismthe Middle Easta cashless societywho is causing these things tohappen? Is it God? Satan? Or man himsel? It has been widely taughtin some Christian circles that we are not in control o our own des-tiny; but rather, our ate has been predetermined. It is sealed in con-

crete, and there is nothing we can do about it. Furthermore, we dont

know what that ate is, and so we must muddle through lie hopingthat we are one o the ew who have been chosen.

Predestination vs. freewill

Te teaching on predestination is rooted in the assumption thatthere has always been a righteous seed and a wicked seed, dating allthe way back to Adam and Eve. It is believed that the seed o Cain is

the wicked seed and Abel the righteous seed. Afer Abels death, Sethassumed the righteous line. I you are o that seed, then you will cometo the saving knowledge o Christ. I not, there is nothing you can doabout it. Your ate is sealed.

Te teaching o predestination destroys the Biblical principle oreewill. From the gospels through the book o Revelation, scriptureclearly tells us that whosoever will, let him come. Jesus said (Mark8:35), For whosoever will save his lie shall lose it; but whosoever

shall lose his lie or my sake and the gospels, the same shall save it.Te same concept is echoed at the end o Revelation, which says, Lethim that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. Andwhosoever will, let him take the water o lie reely (22:17). Te issueis our will, not the luck o the draw.

Yet the Bible does reer to predestination. Romans 8:29 says, Forwhom he did oreknow, he also did predestinate to be conormed to theimage o his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Predestinated according to foreknowledge

According to the Bible, God knows the end rom the beginning.He knows our thoughts while they are yet aar off. Te question thenis: I God is never wrong, can He oreknow what we will do withoutorcing us to do it?

Tink o it like this: You are sitting on a hilltop looking down on atwo-lane road that curves around the hill. wo cars are going in the

same direction, one trying to pass the other. Due to the curve in theroad, the passing car doesnt see that a car is approaching rom theopposite direction. From your vantagepoint, you oreknow there isgoing to be an accident. You didnt cause it. You didnt have anythingto do with it. Yet you did oreknow it was going to happen. Tis il-lustrates oreknowledge as opposed to predestination. God is able tosee the end rom the beginning, but he does not control or dictate

what our actions are.Deuteronomy 30:19 emphasizes that human beings have the pow-

er o choice. Moses said, I call heaven and earth to record this dayagainst you, that I have set beore you lie and death, blessing andcursing: thereore choose lie, that both thou and thy seed may live.God puts beore us lie and death. It is His will that we choose lie, butit is our choice.

While denying that a person is predestinated to be saved or lost, wemust acknowledge that the Bible does teach predestination only ac-

cording to oreknowledge. Notice Romans 8:29 once again, For whom

he did oreknow, he also did predestinate to be conormed to the imageo his Son. Te key to understanding predestination according to ore-

knowledge is as ollows. God oreknew what we would choose and dorom the beginning o time. Tis did not predestinate anything. How-ever, knowing that each o us had exercised reedom o choice in everysituation, God said, It is good and so be it. Once He saw that justice

had been done in every case, and once He said so be it, then all thingswere predestinated according to oreknowledgethe oreknowledge oGod concerning the choices that we made o our own volition.

The role of Bible prophecy

God Almighty has shared with us some o His oreknowledge. It iscalled Bible prophecy. Amos 3:7 states: Surely the Lord GOD will do

nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.So why has God chosen to make prophecy nearly one-third o the

Bible? Because prophecy ulfilled provides us with a great oundation orour aith. In John 14:29 Jesus said, And now I have told you beore itcome to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. Jesus addedin Revelation 19:10: Te testimony o Jesus is the spirit o prophecy.

Tere are some prophecies that are set in stone. We know that Is-rael will build a Tird emple. Should we, as Christians, take active

steps to help build it? I do not believe we should because scriptureteaches us that God does not dwell in temples made with hands (Acts7:48). Rather, we should see the ulfillment o this prophecy as prooo the accuracy o Gods word and the nearness o His prophesiedSecond Coming.

What about the United States o America? Should we pray or ourpresident and nation and be politically active? Absolutely. Why? Te

ultimate ate o the United States is not sealed in Bible prophecy. Prayercan change things! Only God knows how it will all turn out. n
