View the chart at the right to see how light output remains constant with variations in temperature from the E-HID ECOBAY™ fixture. You can see HID light output remains constant over temperature while fluorescent is affected by changes in temperature.

This is a crucial factor considering a typical warehouse can vary in temperature from 40˚F to 120˚F. For the T5 and T8 bulbs, they will lose a significant amount of light in these extreme conditions.

The chart on the right shows the effect of colder and hotter temperatures, respectively, on two common fluorescent lamp types vs the eHID. The ECOBAY™ fixture light output doesn’t change.

To ensure energy savings a fluorescent application requires you to consider the temperature in your space, otherwise, the light levels may not be correct at either extreme. ECOBAY™ fixture output remains constant over a broad range of temperature variations.

Better Lumen Maintenance

The new 200w ECOBAY™ using a Sylvania ballast and lamp combination achieves an estimated lumen maintenance value of 0.88 at 40% or rated life.*

This key factor allows us to replace a standard 400w MH highbay on a one-for-one basis with the new 200w ECOBAY™ fixture.
