PAGE 1 Keith & Becky’s Engagement Announcement Dear Family & Friends, I thought that I would share our story of how we got engaged. On September 24th 2010 Keith took me back to where we had our first weekend away together, South Coast Winery Resort & Spa in Temecula, California. We drove out on a friday evening, and upon arrival to our room, I realized that he had reserved that same villa that we had stayed in before, which overlooks the main vineyard. When I opened the door I was surprised to find a path of rose pedals from the door to the bed, where the bed also had rose pedals on it in the shape of a heart, and rose pedals through out the room and around the bath tub. The next day he had set up a nice wine tour. The wine tour was very exciting. We walked through the vineyards, pulled and sampled grapes from the vines, we had the chance to see the workers separating and cleaning the grapes, got to pair cheeses, meats, crackers, and fruits with many different wines. The most exciting part of the tour was being able to sample wines from the large stainless steel vats, that hadn’t yet finished there fermenting process.

After the wine tour was over, we were both tired and decided to walk back to the villas to get some rest. Keith suggested why not walk through the vineyards so we could have fun taking photographs playing with the grapes. When we were done playing with the grapes we started to walk back when Keith fell behind and call ahead to me. I looked back and saw that he was on one knee in the dirt, where he proposed to me. Thankfully I had my sunglasses on so that he couldn’t see the tears of joy and happiness coming from my eyes.
That evening he planned a romantic dinner for two at the resorts restaurant outside overlooking the vineyard.
The romantic weekend didn’t end there. The following day Keith had more tricks up his sleeve. He arrange for us to attend the “Blessing of the Grapes Festival”. Little did I know that he organized with the head winemaker for me to participate in the annual stomping of the grapes. The festival was so much fun, it included a meet and greet with the owner of the winery, an amazing buffet, more wine tasting and the ability to blend our own bottle of wine and customize the label.
I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect weekend. Looking forward to the next chapter in our lives together.
