Engineering Geology Laboratory The Engineering Geology Laboratory is used as a teaching laboratory facility for the faculty of Engineering. Several rooms are permanently used as laboratory space and teaching facility. The Engineering Geology Laboratory deals with the application of geologic sciences to engineering practice for the purpose of relating the civil engineering structures with the geologic factors. The Engineering Geology Laboratory contains a collection of samples of minerals, stones, and rocks. A coarse work laboratory trains civil engineering students in the study of geological maps and the identification procedure of minerals and stones. It also comprises models of folds, faults, earthquakes in order to better comprehend the course material. To complete the full training of the civil engineering students, a well understanding of geological maps is fulfilled by the reading of topographical maps and its interpretation. Engineering Geology Laboratory

The Engineering Geology Laboratory is used as a teaching laboratory facility for the

faculty of Engineering. Several rooms are permanently used as laboratory space and teaching

facility.

The Engineering Geology Laboratory deals with the application of geologic sciences to

engineering practice for the purpose of relating the civil engineering structures with the geologic

factors. The Engineering Geology Laboratory contains a collection of samples of minerals,

stones, and rocks. A coarse work laboratory trains civil engineering students in the study of

geological maps and the identification procedure of minerals and stones. It also comprises

models of folds, faults, earthquakes in order to better comprehend the course material. To

complete the full training of the civil engineering students, a well understanding of geological

maps is fulfilled by the reading of topographical maps and its interpretation.

The Engineering Geology Laboratory is equipped with the latest equipment which covers a wide

range of Engineering Geology experiments and are listed below:

1. Schmidt Hammer

2. Point Load Index Machine

3.Los Angles Abrasion Machine

4. Direct Shear Test Machine for Soils

5.Tri-axial Test for Soils

6. Grain-Size Distribution

7.Atterberg Limit Test Kit

8.Soil Permeability Test Apparatus
