20182019 Mrs. Monroe Room 269
[email protected] (checked periodically during the summer)
Summer reading provides an opportunity to develop critical academic and lifelong learning skills
and is proven to lessen the impact of summer learning loss.
This is a required assignment for English 10 Honors and contributes a large portion of your first
sixweeks grade. Not completing the summer reading will not be a viable reason for dropping
English 10 Honors. Be sure you start early and complete all parts of the project. While students have a choice of book(s) to read, it is critical students understand they will not be able to change these choices during the summer.
Book selections must be made by Friday, May 11th. Student: By signing below, I am indicating that I commit to: 1. read the book(s) I selected on the back of this page, 2. complete the summer reading assignment before the start of the school year, 3. complete the assignments to the best of my ability, and 4. turn in all my project assignments on the first day of English 10 honors in August. 5. Additionally, I am additionally aware that failure to complete this project on time or with quality work is not a viable reason to switch out of English 10 honors.
